Liked the theme of the story and the actors did a good job portraying their roles, which was difficult at best, showed resourcefulness and confidence in who they were and their special talents, and that there are adults who want to protect them!

A great story directed by Tim Burton. This may be Tim Burton's best film in a couple of years. It looks amazing in 4K, sound is awesome. I found myself being lost in this world and completely enthralled by what I was experiencing.

Always been a big fan of Tim Burton movies. After a long time he is finally back on the game. this is a very good looking movie. With some very peculiar characters. awesome special effects,good story line makes it worth watching.

I was not sure about this movie until i watched it and was suprised how much i liked the story and the movie in general. I will definatly watch it again which is my definition of a great movie, to be interested enough to watch it more than once.

I read the book when my daughter became interested in the series. It's a little darker than the book but I only read the first in the series. Definitely some parts that could scare younger kids, but it was a fun movie my daughter really enjoyed.

I watched it as a recommendation from my wife, who had read the book as a child. I found that while it was not your usual family entertainment, it did keep me engaged. I would compare/group it with "Nightmare Before Christmas".

My 12 yr old who read the books really enjoyed this movie but my 8 yr old did find some parts a little scary, so my not be suitable for some younger kids. I enjoyed this myself as it was something different.

This is a good movie to have in the ever growing movie collection ... An enjoyable movie to own to see when you need a good movie fix!! Here's to continuing growing movie collections and finding larger movie shelves! Keep on watching!

The characters were peculiar indeed more so than I expected, but the plot of the movie I found intriguing. I thought it might be suitable for my younger relatives, but decided after viewing that it might give kids younger than 12 nightmares.

My daughter read this series, so the movie was a must. It's always interesting to see the differences between book and movie, and also interesting to see the book come to life. Great kid entertainment. Opens good "what if" dialog with kids.

If nothing else, Tim Burton has a style. This uneven film has a certain charm that takes a while to sink in. If you look at it as an alternate version of the x-men - I think you'll enjoy it much more.

I have not read the book, so I have no idea how good or bad of a job they did compared to the book. The niece and nephews really loved this movie and I enjoyed it as well. Great special effects and visuals from Tim Burton.

I've heard that if you read the books (I did not), then you may not like the film. I thought it was entertaining, and I'll definitely invest time in upcoming sequels. Interesting characters, decent story and great effects.

Personally enjoy the creative dark atmosphere ideas to this movie. The sense of what it done from it is pure Tim Burton from start to finish beside the fact Johnny Depp wasn't involved make it odd at first however it still great to see.

Another solid Tim Burton adaptation. Eva Green shines as the titular character, and the film is thrilling without getting bogged down in time travel theory. The 4K UHD blu-ray provides a reference quality picture and sound experience.

The actors move very well cast, the mood was perfectly managed through the set pieces, the plot was reasonably engaging. An interesting cross between Harry Potter and the X-Men episodes set at the Xavier Institute.

This was very much like a Harry Potter movie of sorts. It was entertaining and my niece and nephew enjoyed it.Basicly a young man discovers a gateway to a magical group of kids are hiding away from a threatening group.

So I bought this to test out new 4k player. Wow. I thought 4k players would be gimmicky but they are wonderful. This movie showed off it. Movie followed book a little, but no movie adaptation is ever exact. Hope they make more.

A very entertaining must-see great cinematography very interesting but strange storyline but it seems the Curiosity both scientifically with intelligent fantasy I would highly recommend this movie to be seen I hope there is a sequel
