This movie was kind of strange for me, wasn't sure what to expect out of it from the previews, turned out to be better then I thought it was going to be. A good thought provoking movie.

Does not follow the books...tries to cram three books into one film. Should have taken the Harry Potter approach...made two or three films, instead of one. Still, a fun film.

I didn't read the book but my wife and kids did and even they loved the movie. Tim Burton's style was definitely added to this great book (according to them) and we all enjoyed this film.

Excellently made film with that transcends audience. Some bits may be too scary for really young children but this is a return to form to the days of Beetlejuice, Batman and Sleepy Hollow.

This is no award winner but, it's just wierd enough to be fun. The acting is good enough to make it fun to watch and no one does over the top bad guys like Samuel L. Jackson

Considering the special effects we wanted to watch it in 3D. The effects were great, however, the movie is just strange. Not surprising considering it is a Tim Burton movie.

Lately Tim Burtons style has (for me at least) gotten old, so ive stayed away from his movies.....but this movie is a return to form for Tim. Highly enjoyable worth a watch.

I saw it at the theater and had to buy it...Very different, and interesting story-line. Overall my kids enjoyed it very much overall, I do recommend this film to any family.

Enjoyed the movie. Parents weren't very interested in helping their son. Watched 3 times to begin to put all pieces of movie together and understand just what was going on.

I actually watched this movie in a theater. Enjoyed it so much I bought the DVD to have when grandchildren visit. The story does stray from the book but I still liked it enough to buy it.

Much better than I expected, but if you loved the book beware they changed a lot in the movie. I felt the acting was good and there were enough surprises to make things move along nicely.

I really enjoyed this movie! It is great to watch with your kids! Just remember it is fantasy and may not be the very best for little ones or ones that may not understand fantasy yet

Enjoyed watching the 3D version. A movie for older children and adults, just because of the darker illustrative characters of the peculiar children.

Kind of a strange film, but I had fun watching it. It was in the same category of MS McPhee. So if you liked that...

But, it's a good movie. I watched this movie before reading the book and i liked< but then read the book and found myself wishing the movie was more like the book>

Tim Burton's eclectic style molds well with this more family friendly movie. There are some parts that some kids might find scary but overall this movie is very well done.

I enjoyed this movie even though it started off a bit slow in the beginning. The characters really came to life through acting and special effects. Good movie night choice.

This is a good movie, but felt there would be more to it. Although, I liked the movie and wished it followed more along the books, I'm anticipating the second installment.

I have not seen the movie, but Tim Burton is one of my son-in-laws favorites. I bought it for him to watch with my twin granddaughters. Creating special daddy/daughter time.

My kids first saw this movie with their grandmother and enjoyed it immensely. All around, good fun, slightly creepy at times without overdoing it. If this is your genre, then great fun.
