Too scary for the younger ones

An interesting enough plot to keep ones interest. Had I researched it a bit more I probably would have saved my money and watched it on TV.

Eva Green shines

The imagery and story is Perfect Burton. Asa Butterfield is a good actor but is flat in this. The Florida bits could be omitted. But enjoyable

I can't quite put my finger on what is missing...bvut something is missing. Good 3D quality...it's the storyline that lacks.

Nothing wrong with the disc or technology

Beautiful and all that, cinematography, blah blah. Some pretty scary moments for young kids. If you like drama, you're in. I was looking for fun and adventure.

Acting, OK. So, the bottom line is that it was OK. My wife and teenage son had the same impression. You can't win them all.

It follows the book pretty inconsistenly because there any many confusing scenes that aren't in the book and vice versa. Still a good movie
