hmm , its x-men with a Tim burton flavor .based on a popular YA books, the movie is a bit all over the place but it's not as bad as critics made it out to be. movie you can sit and watch with your kids, nieces, or nephew.

The movie was easy to watch and kept my interest. I am a big fan of Eva Green. The cast was well matched and very interesting. My daughters and I watched it together and made an evening of "popcorn and a movie" night.

I'll admit that I'll watch anything with Eva Green in it. I was surprised to find out that this was a Tim Burton movie as well. Overall the movie is an easy watch but overall forgettable.

I got this for my daughter and wasn't interested in it myself but I found it to be much better than the box office hype. Keep an open mind, remembering this is just for entertainment and you will enjoy it

Pleasant way to spend a couple of hours with my grandchildren. The story is well presented in a manner that allows children to understand the dynamics of the peculiar children and time-travel loops.

This movie wasn't what I thought it would be. A little strange. One I wouldn't watch over and over. So for me it was just ok. If I had seen it at the movie theater I wouldn't have bought it on dvd.

I really wanted to like this movie, and I did enjoy the photography and the novelty, it just got boring, and I lost interest once they left the cool old house. Would not watch again.

My wife loved it, but for me it was filled with a lot of stuff I've already seen. I was expecting to be wow'd based on the previews seen, but maybe that was already the best they had to offer.

Not great but if you like the eccentricity of Tim Burton movies this makes 3 stars. It didn't really click together and could have been much better if it did but still a fun movie to watch.

It was a good movie but I feel like they left a lot of holes in the story line. There were times when I wondered how we got from here to there. Hopefully a sequel will fill in the blanks.

Not a bad movie but not great either. Bought this for the kids and they've watched it maybe 3 times. Definitely not one of their go to movies. I fall asleep everytime I try to watch it.

We saw this in the movies and it was okay. My 6yo loved it although she's scared of The Hollows. There was no way I wouldn't buy it for her. Another one added to the collection.

It was a good movie..not so great. I wasn't sure what it was plotting into but it became more interesting as it went along. I think my young adult daughter or son will like it!

I liked it, but may have been a bit long. The special effects were good, but the plot would have been too intricate and scary for younger children. Overall, it was enjoyable.

It is strays from the book a little more than we'd like, but it's ok. Perhaps if we hadn't read the books, we may have enjoyed it more.

A weird concoction of weirdness and magic. Kinda works, though I wish more of the peculiar children had more screen time, and just generally have more to do. Plot was meh.

I liked the movie. The characters & their stories were good too. The movie is kid friendly (aside from the vilans here & there) & helps imagination come to the surface.

Not that much into fantasy but the previews in the theater looked interesting. However, I must say, it was very well done as far as acting and production values.

I bought this movie for my daughter, she liked it after saying she thought she would not like the movie. I am not sure if she will watch it again thou.

I started to get bored half way through this movie, even with the 4K HDR format. The plot just didn't interest me although it was visually a beautiful movie.
