I read the books and they are a great read. I was curious to see how they would attempt to put the content of the books into a movie; unfortunately, the movie does not capture the essence of the books. It's okay, but I was expecting more. Maybe its unfair to compare the books to the movie as your imagination plays a huge roll when reading a book.

The concept of the movie is pretty interesting and the trailer is what got me, and I am not disappointed in it but it is a typical Tim Burton film so you should expect some weird creatures and ideas. The story is alright and the characters aren't the best I would honestly say just rent it unless you enjoy his kind of movies then definitely get it.

This is definitely worth watching and I wasn't disappointed. I love tim burton creations.

8 and 10 yr had to leave the door open at night after watching movie...but they liked it.

loved the movie highly recommended. although smaller children may be frightened of some of the characters.

hope they do a second one a verry well done movie good plot was a bit slow at times but picked up quickly.
