Once again, Disney "tweeks" a wonderful tale and ruins it in order to make a buck. This time, about a legend from the Pacific. I have it 1 star only because my kids liked it.

I love the movie and I wanted to see it with my daughter in 3D but the effects are definitely not worth the money

This is a great movie to add to your Disney collection and its fun for the whole family. We as parents enjoy the adult humor in these kids movies.

Better than average recent Disney animation, with stronger than average herioine

Love the movie. Great artwork, wonderful characters and story. The ocean also looked amazing. My kids love the songs in this movie. Maybe they can now quit singing "Let It Go" lol.

My family enjoyed it very much in the theater and again at home. Has relatively good and empowering messages of coming of age, discovering ones purpose and inner person, redemption, forgiveness, and overcoming daunting challenges. All while being fun and funny. The graphics are pleasing and imagery are expansive. Nothing overdone to extremes. I really am pleased that Disney explored the Polynesian culture and presented characters that stayed true to their history and were very relatable. There is definitely rewatch value in this movie, and we look forward to experiencing the 3d version. Highly recommend for children and adults alike.

Animation is stunning and the songs are all catchy and work into the theme of identity and how to put your own mark on the world that Moana centers on. Moana is a clever and resourceful character that boys and girls can aspire to.

I watched this movie with my family when they rented it through Redbox. I loved it so much that I went out and bought it. I can't remember a Disney film moving me to tears so early on since Up. The animation is stunning, the music is rich, and the characters are so lovable. Disney films recently haven't made this much of an impact. The hype surrounding this movie did not do it an injustice. This movie is stellar.

This movie is awesome. I love the Rock. But Auli'i was fantastic. It's hard to believe she was only 15/16 and it was her first gig. She killed it at the Oscars and this movie kills it. I wasn't a big fan of the shiny crab, but it was only a short part of the movie. "You're Welcome" and "How Far I'll Go" are pretty catchy tunes that I enjoyed in this movie. Perfect for all families.

Moana is a beautiful movie, both visually and in its story. The scenery and animation are gorgeous, and the story is compelling. Moana is about a young island chieftan's headstrong daughter, whose journey to save her people from a curse slowly consuming the world leads her to rediscover her people's roots and right some age-old wrongs. Highly recommended!
