As I am a father of two young children, and a movie buff, my ability to watch whatever movie I may desire at the time is limited as it must be something age appropriate. Each weekend we watch movies early on Saturday, and the collection of movies is generally limited to Disney movies. I have probably watched this movie 15 times already, and each time we have to select a movie for movie time, we go back to this movie as it is a pleasure to watch despite having watched it so many times. It is the perfect Disney combination of theme, music and acting, while maintaining moderation and balance between the various facets ordinarily expected in Disney movies. The plot is wonderful, albeit not true to the mythology, and the characters are very well played by their actor counter parts. If you love Disney movies, or have a family and watch movies with young children, this is definitely a movie that should be included in the pool and collection of your children friendly movies.

"Moana" is also a Disney production (its 56th), and is a computer animated film telling the story of a strong-willed daughter of a Polynesian tribal chief named Moana who sets sail across the Pacific in search of the legendary demigod Maui to save her people. Moana is perfectly voiced by 14-year-old Hawaiian high school freshman Auli'i Cravalho with Dwayne Johnson surprisingly cast as the voice of the god Maui. Based on Polynesian mythology stories, this is an amazing movie with wonderful songs and astonishing visuals that help to make it an extremely moving film experience for adults as well as children. (One strange footnote: in some European countries, the title and protagonist were renamed 'Vaiana' due to a copyright problem over a cosmetic company that owns the use of the name 'Moana'. In Italy the change was made due to a more serious problem: to avoid any association with a deceased 'adult' actress named Moana Pozzi.)

My kids and thier cousins all love this movie. They watch it on repeat.
