Moana is great a great family movie with awesome visuals. It's a fun adventure and my kids love it. I'd prefer to pay a little less than $25 though.

I believe this is Disney's 56th animated movie and it rocks! The characters, the scenery and the music are all amazing. Lin-Manuel Miranda was one of the writers for the musical score and the music is awesome. i think it's also 'cool' that the movie is set in Polynesia and the Rock, Dwayne Johnson has some Polynesian roots as do some of the other main characters. This is a movie that the parents will enjoy just as much as their kids. It is totally and thoroughly enjoyable! A great Disney movie to add to your collection that will be watched over and over! Buy it... it will not disappoint you! It will definitely be a classic!!!

I cannot express enough how perfect this movie is. It is my daughter's favorite movie and we watch it at least twice a week. The best part is that I don't mind watching it for the 100th time. The music is great and I can't help but sing along to every song. I've even reached the point where I feel withdrawals if I haven't watched it in a few days. The special features are a fun bonus and the digital copy was perfect for repeat viewings on my phone whilst we are away from home. If you enjoy a fun story with The Rock as a cocky Demi-Guy who sings a catchy tune, then you are in for a treat. You're welcome.

Moana is an excellent addition to the Disney catalogue, with the studio firing on all cylinders in the story and animation front. Especially coming off the equally stellar Zootopia earlier in the year. The songs are catchy and memorable, and even beautiful in the case of How Far I'll Go. The supplemental features are actually a bit of a step up from more recent Disney offerings, though still not quite as rich as pre Tangled era Disney Blu-rays. There IS a Commentary though, which has been one of the most sorely missed features from other releases. The video and audio quality is excellent as always with modern Disney releases.

I don't know how Disney keeps bringing excellent movies to the big screen, but "Moana" is another magical journey for the whole family. The songs/music are wonderful, the story is fun, suspenseful, and adventurous, the island/ocean setting is beautiful, and the humor is well placed. There are some scenes that might scare a young child, but overall the movie is great for a family gathering. The 3D affects are fairly good as well. The 3D really brings the lush environments to life and there are a few out-of-screen effects that enhance the movie. Disney usually handles 3D quite well, and this is no exception. Highly recommend!

Different viewpoint or take on a disney movie. Not what you would expect but all in all alluring. Even the adults enjoyed watching this.

I lived in the Philippines for a few years, then moved to the states when my dad retired from military service. This movie reminds a bit of the Philippines, especially the beaches and clear blue water over there - you could see all the way to the bottom from the edge of the beach and 100 feet out. Here in America, when I went to Cocoa Beach I was disappointed, the water seemed so dirty. Anyway, the movie was great, the animation of the ocean top notch, and Dwayne Johnson's voice acting was stand out. Oh, you're welcome! P.S. Google "Heaven on Earth" to see what I mean about clear blue waters and awesome beach.

This is one of the best Disney movies I've ever seen. It works consistently through repeated viewings. The songs are good, the visuals are great, and the acting of the two main characters via voice and animation are revolutionary. The main character, Moana, is a compelling combination of quirkiness and pure-hearted heroine, selling her determination to do what is right while being silly and fun at the same time. It's a classic coming of age story without the need for romance tropes. Just adventure. The 3d is good, but doesn't add a lot to the movie. Worth it if you're into 3d stuff though.

Wow! This is one 4K bluray that dramatically steps up the picture quality over the conventional bluray! Some Disney and Pixar titles are only subtle upgrades, but Moana is a magnificent looking step up in 4K. Not only is the detail sharper, but HDR adds incredible depth and "snap" to the picture! I like this movie a lot, but I've never seen it loo this amazing! If you're not sure which Disney title to upgrade to 4K bluray, look no farther; Moana is a spectacular looking 4K bluray! Very highly recommended!

I wasn't interested when I saw the trailer and but my wife loved it so I bought it for her and I sat down and watched it and was so so about it. I didn't like the music which is usually a big factor for Disney Movies for me, but next day as I was making breakfast my daughters were watching it and I warmed up to it a little more. Next day in shower, BOOM! I'm humming the songs. I watched it again and I think this movie might be better than Frozen. I call these movies Creepers because sometimes you don't see what makes it great until a 3rd or 4th viewing. Give it a try, and then try it again.

I have to admit I'm addicted to these (though not to the point I'll buy a bad movie steelbook---I will just get a steelbook if it's a movie I think I want to own rather than the regular version). The artwork is gorgeous and fits the theme of the movie, and the movie itself is presented very well. The only confusing thing about Disney steelbooks is sometimes they have the 3D versions...sometimes they don't (for instance Rogue One DOES have the 3D along with the other versions). I wish they'd be consistent about that. If you collect steelbooks then this will make a fine addition to your shelf.

This movie is one of the latest in the classic line of terrific animated films from Disney. It's a good story, appealing to both kids and grownups. Played on a Sony 4K television and Sony UltraHD Blu-ray player, the color and resolution is off-the-charts great. It's well worth the money to pay a few extra dollars for the 4K discus if you have the right equipment to play it on.

I didn't hear much about Moana. Since it was a Disney movie, I decided to purchase it. Without giving much away, the story line is centered around Polynesian/Hawaiian cultural myths and legends. It was an immersive experience (especially in 3D). I was surprised how the movie sucked me right in and kept me interested. The movie was very colorful with exciting scenes, funny moments with lots of laughs, and touching scenes. It was even better the second time around. I wouldn't, however; recommend this movie for younger children (under 6) as it would be hard for them to stay interested.

Always a good time to watch a movie that takes place in tropical locales. Moana was very brave and love the rooster and pig.

I bought this movie for my sister as a gift. I never seen the movie but it seems to be a decent Disney film for young children.

I loved Disney movies growing up but some of the newer ones just aren't as good..this one being the exception...I loved it.

I was a bit skeptical of this movie, but it turned out to be an excellent addition to the home movie library. I might have given it a 4-star rating, but my wife loves the music so much, and has watched the movie several times now with the kids, that I had to give it FIVE STARS to reflect her enjoyment of the movie. The demi-god, complete with "animated tatoos" makes sense in the context of the movie and was not irritating like I expected. The animation is superb. If you have an appreciation of computer animation, you could watch this show just to see the hair.

If you haven't seen Moana yet, what are you waiting for? This is seriously one of the best Disney movies to come out in a long time. The story is so empowering for young girls and it is also very entertaining for young boys as well. Instead of this being a Disney princess movie that is hung up on the princess falling in love with and winning over a prince this story is about the village chief's daughter who will one day take over and how she goes above and beyond to save her people. Amazing story, stellar musical score. There is no losing with watching this movie.

Doggone Disney! I tell you! Those guys know they can churn out the animated hit. It's not just what they do graphically (the visuals are amazing), but it's the story, along with great execution. Moana is no different. It's a great alternative approach to marrying the past and future through our youth - our replacements and future leaders. Great lessons all the way around in this one, and I really love the grandeur of some of the scenes. All I can say is wow! Big moments with big screen-filled interaction. This is a must add to your Disney collection!

It must be a great DVD, our grand kids have watched it repeatedly since we bought it. It serves as great entertainment for them when we need to have a little down time to get things done when the kiddos are with us. I personally think it is entertaining as well and have watched it from beginning to end.
