Another great princess film for the modern day. This is a story that I think everybody however, especially young girls would enjoy. Instead of telling an old story about a helpless princess, it tells the story of a princess who gowns into her own self and over comes the task she is faced with. I also liked Dwanye Johnson in this one. He always plays the family film roles well.

I was actually online on in the early hours of Black Friday ordering something else for myself when I saw the Moana DVD was on sale as a door buster. I immediately ordered the item for daughter as one of her stocking stuffers. The ship time was fast . I was expecting to receive the item a week after ordering the item but received it 4 days later! I am very impressed!

Moana is a gorgeous animated movie with an excellent soundtrack. If you can snag a copy of this Best Buy exclusive SteelBook, I recommend that you do so! This is a gloss finish steelbook with interior and exterior art and debossing for the Moana title on the front cover. It includes a digital copy of the movie, redeemable at many different online services. Hope you can snag one!

Animation is top notch as well as the voice acting.

The blu-ray version was watched on a 60 inch Plasma surround sound, both the picture quality and sound were outstanding. For animation, the blu-ray version gave very good detail, probably the best blu-ray animation that I have seen for quality of picture. The movie was good, especially for the grandkids, with a historical aspect for how the polynesian islands were populated.

Moana was nominated for the (2016) Best Animated Feature Oscar, but lost to Zootopia, which doesn't mean it's a lesser story, just completely different. Zootopia is the urbanization of animals, who act like humans, while Moana is about humans and the colonization of the Pacific ocean islands. Ancient legends and spiritualization of the elements of creation form the background for this feisty teenager's adventure to restore her tribes link to the sea and their mastery of negotiating its vastness. Having a demigod (Maui) around is helpful at times, except when he is the comic relief of the story. Fun, but not as great as some of the other Disney hits. The question is, if she is next in line to be the tribe's chieftain, will Disney make her a princess, since at chief isn't really a king?

I absolutely love the Disney movie Moana. Moana is an amazing female character who goes to bat to save her family, her people, and her island. Her chicken sidekick is a lot of fun and the interaction between her and Maui, the demi-god, is wonderful! The music is incredible and you can listen to it again and again - I do. This is possibly my favorite Disney movie ever!

Even though I grew up on Disney as a child my tolerance level of repeat Disney movie watching is pretty low now that I am an adult. However, I purchased this movie for my 7 and 3 year old boys and we love it. It may have something to do that we lived in Hawaii for 3 years, but this movie is a go to choice on Friday nights. Catchy but not annoying songs and good storyline.

The most electrifying man in sports entertainment does an amazing job in this future Disney classic, from the opening frame to the last shot this was a great movie for kids and adults, Dwayne Johnson had my wife singing the song "Your Welcome" days after we watched this movie. This is a movie that will become a classic and had a great story of friendship and belief.

We bought this movie for our grandchildren and we all love it! I hadn't seen the movie in theaters so I was pleasantly surprised when we brought it home. We actually purchased 2 of these movies... one for each set of grandchildren, and we couldn't be happier. The music and the message are both amazing. Probably my favorite Disney movie tied with Beauty and the Beast.

I'm glad Disney is diversifying the types of movies they're making! On the surface, the storyline seems to be the typical Disney plot where the princess doesn't want to follow in her parents' footsteps and wants to do her own thing. But I think that's where the similarities end. The rest of the story is pretty unique and can be enjoyed by people of all ages!

My kids really enjoy this movie. I had some reward points and my kids decided I needed to use them for this, lol. Seems to be just appropriate as a movie gets for children considering Disney’s hidden and disturbing past of sneaking adult and suggestive material in kids movies.

Moana is one of the best Disney films in years. It's fun, action-packed and miles better than more recent Disney films such as Big Hero 6 and, yes, even Frozen. Aesthetically, the film is beautiful. The colors are bold and vibrant, and the 3D makes it even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

If you loved Frozen or Tangled, you will love Moana. From the characters, songs, and thrilling ocean adventure, Moana leaves little to be disappointed about. I spent a couple years in Hawaii and this movie brings back what I loved about spending time there with a bit of history and legend thrown in. This is a fun, Hawaiian family adventure that is worth every penny.

Saw this movie in the theater with my wife and kids. I thought this movie was great in many aspects -- the plot, the characters and the cast that played them, the music, the animation. Our kids were glued to the screen the whole hour and 30+ minutes, and haven't stopped singing the songs from the movie. It was a definite purchase when the movie was available to buy.

I'm disappointed this didn't have a 4k version available, since it would look awesome. Even the 1080 looks good. You can skip the ad junk at the beginning, another critical thing for me, as nothing is more annoying at home than being forced through the same slop they force you to sit through at the theater. Menus - not a fan of the menus though, why I dropped a star. The colors aren't that great, so sometimes it's difficult to see which of two options you have highlighted. Deleted scenes are like many of the animated ones, storyboards and such for many since that's as far as they got, never were rendered. Show some interesting details though. The fishing Maui short is cute, but too short... If you're a fan of the movie though, definitely worth the price.

This was a really great movie for the whole family. I was happy to see that it did not have any "controversial" topics brought out in the movie. That seems to be a common theme in kids movies these days and should not be! The movie was entertaining, colorful and well put together. Parents and/or grandparents, feel free to watch this with family members of all ages.

This is one of the best Disney films in recent years. Right up there with Frozen and Tangled. The animation was top notch. Computer animation has come a long way. This one of the most beautiful movies to watch. The soundtrack is pretty good. Kids will enjoy for years to come. Hopefully Disney will avoid cheesy or rushed sequels like the Lilo and Stitch franchise.

I watched this movie with my 6 years old daughter I loved the animation- it was gorgeous and the water looked real. The characters were entertaining and sang really well and the music of this movie was one of my favorites in the recent Disney movies releases. I hum the songs at work all the time. I will definitely be watching it again and again in the future.

I got the moana Steelbook for $14.99 and its such a great price especially for a 4k steelbook by Disney! Even though I already own the regular Moana 4k I got this one for my kid cause she LOVES Moana and tore apart the case to our old blu ray. I thought a steel book would survive her playing around. lol.
