Another in a long line of very good Disney animated movies. It is the story of Moana, the strong-willed daughter of a chief of a Polynesian village, who is chosen by the ocean itself to reunite a mystical relic with a goddess named Te Fiti in order to save her people. Good family film with nice collection of songs.

Obviously, if it has taken you this long to catch Moana, there is a good reason why you are looking at the reviews. But this is cause for you to take the step and watch this movie. Moana is the best Disney movie ever, including Pixar offering. This is how princesses should be- brave, kind, smart. And this is what little girls should aspire to be- not wearing a pretty dress and willing to give up her voice to land a handsome prince. Lin Manuel Miranda's music is awesome. The animation is glorious and beautiful.

To start, the culture and mythology in the film is very appealing. Moana herself is a character to root for. She has goals and aspirations that the viewer wants to see her achieve. The music is strong and passionate with great performances from the cast. The visuals are to die for, the climax of the film is hard to look away from.

I held back on this movie because I was not sure it would something I liked. Disney has had a great sting of hit over the last few years and this is a hit. Dwayne Johnson has great charisma and it shows through in this outing. The story is fantastic, the music is incredible. If you get a chance watch the extra about how they made the music.

Moana is another notch in Disney's string of successes in their quest for inevitable world domination. Beyond the amazing visuals and infectious songs expected of their animation line, the movie is most notable for its spunky titular lead and her sidekick Maui, voiced by Dwayne Johnson effectively Dwayne Johnsoning the heck out of the part.

In my personal opinion, this movie is a fun experience for the whole family. It is a lot like an old fashioned Disney movie with a non-traditional princess embarking on an adventure to save her people with a lot of singing and action on the way. I bought this movie for my 3 year old son and my wife and I have no issues with him watching it.

Being a Disney junkie this review may seem a tad bias, but Moana is actually a pretty good addition to Disney's film classics. The songs are fun and catchy, and Dwayne Johnson (The Rock) is just aaesome! Though I wish the 3D steelbook blu ray was available in my area, the standard steelbook blu ray is pretty cool too. I recommend this film.

my son loves this movie, perfect for all ages. the songs and graphics were good as well. the story line, i as a mom thought was perfect, teaching kids not to give up even though no one else around you is supportive, thats the kind of message thats important our youth needs to see. no one can hold you back if you believe in whats right!

Bought this movie before driving home from spring break in Florida. Kids loved it and watched it like 5 times over the course of 2 days. Once we got home, my husband and I were able to watch it and found it to good. There was a part with a snail that I wondered if it would be scary for younger children, but my 5 year old was fine with it.

My 5-yr old begged me to take her to see this movie, and I did. Not only did she enjoy it, I liked it too--good storyline! Now she asks me to play the soundtrack in the car (thanks to Apple Music) all the time (just like she used to with the Frozen Soundtrack). So, I got her the movie on Blu-ray/Digital so she can watch anytime she wants.

So Moana is a new Disney "princess" but I feel she shows much more than that! The movie takes us through her journey to find herself and save her island. Corny premise, I know, but very well done! Maui is hilarious and so is Hey Hey...you'll see who I'm talking about when you watch it! Good movie for kids and parents, good values taught.

As an adult with young children, I enjoyed this movie. I'd say it's my favorite of the recent animated Disney films, which have all been pretty good. The music was top-notch, and the animation was beautiful. I'll probably be tired of it when I've seen it with the kids a hundred times, but until then, I've gotta give it a positive review.

Moana is one of my favorite Disney animated movies of the recent years. Even though its popularity is no where near what Frozen's was, I would argue that as a whole it's a better movie. The visuals and catchy tunes are solid, to be expected, but the movie offers up a surprising amount of humor and Dwayne Johnson absolutely nails is role.

I had already watched this movie before I bought it. Its a really well made movie. The colors are amazing and the story is well crafted. I bought it mainly for the 3d version. The colors look even better and the 3d effect looks really deep. The whole family has enjoyed watching this movie in 3d many times. Definately a must have 3d movie

This was the most original story disney has done in years . THE STORY LINE AND PLOT ARE INTERESTING AND FUN. I hope disney dose more stories with other ethnicities,tribes and cultures so kid are always able to see themselves on screen.

Disney bought Pixar and stole their rendering magic to make a wonderful tail and they figured out how to tell a story where Pixar is hitting the well on the existing IP and not creating "New" stories. Monsters U, Cars 3, Incredibles 2, etc... Pixar needs to come up with new stories to compete once again with there newest sibling.

This movie was an absolute surprise, I didn't think I would like it as much as I did, but Moana is a great movie. The cast did a great job, each character has depth and personality that comes across as relatable, and the musical numbers we're toe tapping and catchy. It's definetly as much of a movie for adults as it is for kids

This movie will go down EASILY as one of Disney's greatest movies! I have a five and seven year old that are like night and day. I mean, they can't agree on one single thing...except this movie. Me, my husband and our kids literally watch this movie every single weekend, without fail. Go ahead and buy it, you WILL NOT be disappointed!!

I saw Moana in theaters about 4 times and bought it the first week it came out. This Disney movie has such a powerful message and is fun for the whole family! After doing a little research I found out the Directors of Moana also directed Hercules, Little Mermaid, and Lion King. It is no wonder this movie is such a success and so good!
