Purchased a long cable version and it the signal degradation was so great it couldn’t even charge a small device. Swapped it for a shorter length and it seems to get the job done now but really Best Biy should dump this product and find something better to stock in their stores.

I have tried using different power adapters & devices and have determined its definitely the cable. There appears to be no damage to the cable or the ends. So I'm guessing there must have a short in it already.

The indicator light did show that there was a connection, but the power meter never increased, only decreased even when the unit was not in use. Different outlets and power heads were connected to the USB port, including the 100 Watt multi-plug unit that I have..... power still fell off. Didn't matter which outlet in the house the connection was made to, negative charge results.
