I bought this when I was traveling and in a jam.Generally I buy accessories like chargers and headphones as cheap as possible, or when I know I can get a good deal, however i splurged on this chord and I couldn't be happier with the product. It chargers the phone remarkably fast, and the blue lighting looks really cool. Whenever I use this in public people always are drawn to it. I also like the texture of the chord, apple products have recently started to put a kind of plastic adhesive on the chord that gives it friction when it rubs up against other chords, that make traveling a pain, The smooth plastic never gets tangled which is a major issue I have with other chords electronic charging chords. It's a bit pricey... but if you want a chord that will handle wear and tear with a cool aesthetic perk to it... this charging/data transport chord is for you.

A friend of mine has this cable. I was drawn to the lightning of the USB cable as it charges. I was on an international trip and I did not have my power pack with me. So, my iPhone kept running out of power because I used my phone all day and night. Upon my return home, I purchased this cable to use with my power pack. I highly recommend this Modal USB cable and the lightening is a bonus especially when it is dark. All you see is the lights moving as your device is being charged! It comes in two colors: blue and silver. I plan to purchase the silver cable as well.

The cables lights up with a pattern to simulate the power that is going to the phone when charging. After the phone is fully charged the light pattern slows down to indicate trickle charging. This is helpful to see if your phone is fully charged from a distance without checking your phone. The charging connection has extra insulation to reduce wearing and exposing the wires.

I've had this charger for about 2 weeks now. It's working pretty good! I haven't had any problems! For the sake of a fair review, I haven't moved it from its designated spot so there wasn't any rough usage in the past 2 weeks to check its durability. For descriptive purposes, the charger only lights up while charging devices and immediately when you remove the device from the charger.

Was surprised to see the entire cord lights up when its charging, So far so good.........but we've only been using it 2 weeks. Hoping it doesn't stop working in a few months like all the previous ones we;ve had to replace. It seems to charge our phones quicker than most. Would buy again.

Love love love this different spin on my normal iPhone charger!...iPhone gives a charger-cheap cord, never lasts long-this one is sooo durable-but the color flashing while charging is soooo amazing!!!-oh and yes it does work fantastically!!!!

My girls absolutely love this cable because they know when their device is fully charged since the light stops flashing through the cable.

The lights on the cable are very cool and when it it lights up in a dark space it looks great!! My only problem is after 3 or 4 charges my phone stopped supporting this cable. I couldn’t charge my phone and it wouldn’t light up. I returned it.

This was the second cord that I purchased. The first cord lasted about 8 months. I was ok with it because I use it daily. This cord did not last too long at at all. If you are looking for something unique to lit up your car while charging and driving, this is it. Otherwise by a more study cord.

I received this cable today, but it is doesn’t fit my iPhone. This is CLEARLY for an Android. I’m returning to store immediately!

I bought this for my iPhone and the end that plugs into the phone would not work because it was broken and eventually broke off.

Bought by accident cuz it said Apple Certified so I just quick assumed it was lighting. Disappointed when I got it and realized it was micro usb... until I used it! I was gonna return it but bought it on a deal of the day so really wasn't worth my trip to the store... like I needed another micro cord tho. Tried it and the cord actually lights up and a chasing light effect while the item is charging. Not annoying just pretty cool visually. Once it's done charging the lighted cord shuts off. Ended up trashing my other micro cords & this is the only one I use now. Gave another one to a friend as a gift and now everyone wants one! Purchased on a deal of the day at a great price, kinda disappointed with the everyday much higher price though.

My son bought this for himself when he got his new iPhone and he absolutely loves it. He has pretty much lost every charger he has ever owned but this one. He said he loves that he can tell when its charger when the cord lights up because there were times when his others wasn't charging his phone and when he would take it off the charger it would be dead. I believe its also a cool factor when he plugs it in and the light starts circulating through the cord. As a mom I kind of want one too but they do not make them for the Galaxy S9+ at the moment. Maybe I should opt for an iPhone they have such a larger selection of accessories.

The cord is three feet long, which makes it very functional and useful when charging around the house. You can plug it into any standard outlet and use it or place it on a higher surface without worrying about yanking out the connection. Another very useful feature is the flashing light display along the cord length. This is not only visually entertaining but stops flashing to let you know when your device is fully recharged. This prevents the waste of power that happens when you continue to leave the plug in after recharging is completed.

At its core, this is a standard aftermarket, Apple certified, Lightning cable, however, there's a twist. This thing lights up! Aside from the obvious cool factor of the cable lighting up when charging the device, there's not much to be said, The exterior is made of a clear, yet thick plastic, and the light produced by the cable is surprisingly bright. My only complaint is the overall chunkiness of the USB side of the cable, while I'm sure this is because of its light up feature, it does make the cable somewhat awkward to use is come situations where space is tight, like in some cars. If you're in the market for something different when it comes to charging your favorite iOS device, this cable from Modal is well worth consideration.

It’s a charger and it works. I love the vibrant colors and it’s eye popping. But it’s too fragile. I was using it in my car and it slipped between the seats for only a few minutes as I was driving. But afterwards it was never the same. Intermittent charging and would then have to be placed at awkward angles with obviously would further damage the product. Returned it and got it brand new and working ever since. It’s a five star product. Does what you want and need it to do. Looks nice while doing it. Minus a star for the fragility.

Okay this is a charge cord- I get that. But this one is exceptional. It is lit up and the lights flow along the length of the cord when it's charging. As the device gets close to a full charge, the lights slow down, and when the device is fully charged, the lights no longer flow. So, it's more than a charge cord- it's a way to monitor the charging process from a distance. The lights are really cool, too - but I appreciate their function. As simple charge cords go, this one is really good. It's well-made and has function. I recommend it.

Love this cable! The Modal company makes great cables. I originally got this type of cable for my iPhone with the lightning charger. It's been working great, so when I saw this for the micro USB option, I knew I had to buy it. I bought 5. Yes, 5. I use them at home, at work, in the car, and for traveling. I have a cable for each location so I'm not lugging a package of cables around. In any case, if you are looking for a great micro USB cable and aren't sure which one to buy, you can't go wrong with this Modal cable.
