The good - This cable has a really neat lighting effect that gives it the effect of a charge flowing from the electrical outlet directly into the phone. This effect stops when the phone is fully charged, giving you an "at a glance" view as to whether or not your phone is fully charged. The bad - This light can be rather bright, especially in a dark room. This varies by user but it may actually be bright enough to interrupt your sleep cycle, so be forewarned. The ugly - I don't have the hardware to test it, but it feels like it charges a bit more slowly than official apple USB to lightning cable on the same AC Adapter.

I purchased a pair of wireless ear buds and they came with a very short cable for charging the case that charges the ear buds. As the USB ports on my computer are located on the upper front of my computer, when charging the case, it just kinda dangles there. As the charging case is a little heavy with the ear buds inside, I worry about the mini USB connection coming loose. This longer cable connected the same as the original cable and allows me to place the charging case to the side of the computer without pressure on the connections. Works Great.

USB mini chords are pretty much all alike. This one adds a bit of eye candy in that it puts on a display that looks like light pulses flowing down the wire while current is flowing. The glitz is nice and sometimes a conversation starter, but also serves a useful purpose: it turns off when the charge is complete. DOWNSIDE- the plug casing around the larger connecter is a little fatter than it needs to be, making it hard, in some cases, to put two of these units side by side in a multi-port USB hub.

Now my 1st thought of this was it's a lighted cable that's certified. Well let me say it's better than that. I bought this as a gift for my wife and she loves it. It shows off like moving electrons toward the phone as it displays brightly gyrating. It only lights up once connected to phone & decreases in speed as it gets closer to full charge. Really did not expect this feature in a charging cable- Nice. I just wish they had a longer one, that I could use freely in my truck. Hopefully B.B. will pick one up in their inventory.

Bought this for my son and he absolutely loves it! So far it has been very durable, charges pretty fast and not to mention the cool factor when charging at night or in the dark. He brought it with him to school and all the kids thought it was the coolest thing since sliced bread. Not to mentioned it helps to know that your phone is 'actually' charging when it lights up as there have been plenty of times I thought my phone was charging on a regular cord but when I removed it from the phone found out that it never charged.

This charging cord is lighted and the lights are synchronized so that it looks like the electricity is flowing into the device. It is actually quite pretty; sort of like Christmas lights. I did encounter one problem with this device though: After buying two of them (one for each of my two daughters), I found that only one of the cords actually lit up. While the cord that didn't light up did charge the ipad, one of my daughters was still disappointed. So, I had to go back to the store and switch it out. The new cord lights up just fine.

This is an unusual cord-it lights up when charging. Quite a show when it is dark in the room, freaks out people when using a portable charger outside! LOL The light up feature shows it is charging your device, as your device is almost fully charged the speed of the light slows down. When your device is fully charged the light in the cord turns off. Great way to know it is time to unplug your phone (if being charged in the dark). You cannot see the light up when used in lit conditions. Charges quickly, love this cord.

Performs the same functions as any other micro USB cable you own, or have ever owned... except this one has a cool light-up feature while the connected unit is charging. An impossible-to-miss trail of light starts from the base end (i.e. the selected power source), and rapidly follows the cable to the charging device. It stops once the unit hits 100%. A very cool feature.

This iPhone “lightening cable” is great for two (2) reasons; first, it is more durable than a stock iPhone cord and second, it illuminates from end to end with a very pleasing blue light that makes the cord easier to find in the dark and looks really great inside my car at night when I drive. As a professional driver many of my passengers ask me about it and I always say I got it at Best Buy. I’ve bought many over the years and will continue buying them in the future.

As with most cables used to charge your phone, this one does the job. The neat part about this one is that has led lights that move at variable speeds when charging your device. The movement or intensity of the lights is an indicator of the amount of current flowing to your device. A Slower movement of the lights indicates that your device is likely more fully charged. Faster moving lights indicate that your device is still taking on a charge. I just enjoy the light show it puts off.

We really liked this cable. I bought 2 because they were on sale less than $15.00 each. One for me and one for my teenage son 3 days in his just stopped lightening up. I returned it to Best Buy for a hassle free return. They didn’t have any more in stock so I couldn’t do a quick exchange for another one. By the time I got around to trying to order a replacement the price had doubled. Needless to say I had to give mines to my son. It’s been 3 weeks now so far so good.

Love the lights. Accurately confirms whether or not the cable is charging. Have purchased several of these for my daughter and I for our cars and home use. Like all other charging cords I've had, over time, the wire braid does eventually fray near the connector from regular use and the cord stops working. However, if the lights aren't running, I don't have to guess whether or not I need to replace it. It is a clear sign.

The lightning charger cord is long enough to be plugged in just about anywhere and be able to use it at the same time. Plus, it glows blue and the light speed depends on the percentage charged. For example, at 2% battery life the lights are super fast; but, at 98% they still move but really slow. Also, it costs less than $20! It has your phone, tablet or other compatible device charged and ready in no time; or, charged and downloaded in notice at all.

I know it might seem a bit gimmicky, but I love these illuminated cables. You literally see the “topping off” of your power at the end of the cycle and can “interrupt it” almost as though you can sense the “tedium” of your devise getting micro volts, when it wants to be finished. I know this is beneficial to the battery, but the last drip, drip, drip of energy is vexing.

Overall a very good charging cable and I would recommend if you can buy it at a sale price. However, it might be my charger or devices, but the cord occasionally cuts the LED light off, which is the main the reason I bought it. I would have to restart by unplug it from the charger then replug. The charging capability is not affected, only the LED light does not function consistently.

I am very happy with this product. It works well. some people might not like that the cable stays lit especially at night during charging. I paid $10 for it. In the past I bought 2 Apple chargers that were on sale at Best Buy, unfortunately I did not open them right away, but when I opened them, they worked like for a couple of weeks and died. It was too late to return. I was very surprised with Apple product.

It lights up and pulses when charging faster and slows as it nears full charged. Very cool and useful for nighttime driving. This is my second one and first one made it a year and a half before it stopped working. The plug in itself just wears down and stop fitting tightly in phone and won’t charge consistently like when new. Would have been 5 stars had that not happened. Great deal and a cool addition to vehicle or home charging!

This USB cable works great and does exactly what it's supposed to do, with some added bonuses. It's very durable and hasn't frayed yet, as you might get with other charging cables.It's easily recognizable among other cables, but the "light up" feature I find I like the most, as the blue marching lights indicate when the cable is charging or plugged into a power source but they also just frankly look cool.. Also, a good price.

If u like the color blue and you like that the fact it lights up while charging your phone and you don't mind 3 feet at length then get it. Otherwise if you dont have 20 bucks to spare, then no. My worst problem is that it is 3 feet in length and that is short. Bought this fo r my spouse. She didnt like the lighting but kinda didnt mind the length of the cable. Bought it for her and thought she might like it. Turns out she is picky.
