Worked fine at first, then only lit up when plugged into the wall with no phone connected, and when you did connect a phone, wouldn't charge it at all. Waste of $20.

Bought this charger 3 days ago, worked great for those few days. On the third day I had my phone plugged in at work and my phone restarted. I thought nothing of it but it would not turn on after. Couldn't update or restore it through my computer. Took it to the apple store and they couldn't even do anything about it. This charger broke my iPhone. I'm super upset by this because my phone (iPhone 5S) was only a little over a year old. Please take this into consideration before you buy this product.

I was very excited to try out this product when I saw how many colors it came in and how it lights up when charging. However, after just a few uses and not even having it for a month, the light up feature on the charger stopped working. Not even two weeks later, the charger would only charge if I held my phone a certain way. Now, after owning it for a month and a half, it has stopped working altogether.

Good charger, and it lights up and shows power going towards the device, pretty cool!

About a month out this cable stopped working for me. The error message basically states that apple doesn't support this product and will not allow it to charge my phone. Upon calling apple directly, this product is not licensed by apple to be charging its phones. So for the price of a licensed apple charging cable, you receive one that is unlicensed and "may" work according to apple technical support. I suspect this cable stopped working along with certain apple software updates. In any case, buyer beware!

Bought the white lightning cable version, LED's stopped working the next day. Tried several charging wall adapters. No luck. Was pretty cool while it worked. Fortunately it is still within Best Buy holiday return/exchange period.

I absolutely LOVE this cable. But, it has some limitations. The Pros: The light show is AWESOME. it's fun. it makes your phone look like it's going nom nom nom with the electricity. The Cons: The durability is not spectacular. Keep the receipt. The nice thing is that it is a Best Buy branded item; which means that the warranty can be taken care of in store. Warranty repair and replacement doesn't get more convenient than that. There is also a compatibility issue with my car radio. My car stereo does not like this cable... which is ok. the light show can be distracting while driving.

Looked like good construction. But, it didn't even last a few months. My original cord lasts siginificantly longer and that one travels with me daily.

It worked great for a week. Then as it was charging exactly one week later, the lights stopped cycling. Now it charges but blinks quickly and uncontrollably. Hopefully this can be fixed.

I bought four of these charger cords for my kids less than a month ago and one doesn't do anything, no lights, no charge, no nothing and another one the end that goes in the iPhone just fell off. I can see why Best Buy has clearance them out. Of course I don't have the original packaging or receipt anymore so I am out of luck but I will never purchase a Modal product again.

When I first bought the charger I walked straight to my car and plugged it in. When pushing the connector into my phone the plastic piece broke exposing that it seemed to only be a piece of clear glue holding it together. I walked backed in and exchanged it. I have now had the second one for about 2 months and it just stopped working. I am trying to return based on the manufacture warranty but can't seem to even find how to. Will update with how that goes.

I was persuaded by the majority of good comments about this cable and ignored the few that said their cables immediately stopped lighting up. Mine lasted a good week, if that, before it stopped lighting up like it should - now, only the first 2 inches by the wall plug light up. The rest of the cord is dead. And I took care of the cord - no crazy bending or wrapping at all.

I haven't had much luck with other chargers over the past few months so I thought I would try this one. It was a cute color and had a thicker cord then most other ones I bought plus is was cheap. After about a week the cable stopped working. I tried using it in a wall unit and my computer but it still doesn't work. All in all this is a waste of money. Do not buy!

Had it for a good four days, and loved it. Then, I unplug it and it breaks. The charger port was disconnected from the cord and I was so disappointed. So I took it back and got a new one. I was so excited, and was more gentle. Then, yet again, it breaks. And I'm so, so, mad. I loved this charger. And then it breaks, not once, but twice.

Worked fine at first, but after about a day, only half of the cable lit up, and maybe a day or two after that, the light stopped working entirely. Now it's very finnicky about charging. It is loose and falls out if I move the phone, and has to be in the exact right position to charge. Really not worth the money.

I bought this cord a few months ago and now it doesnt work. It doesnt light up like it should and now it doesnt even charge! I cannot find the box for the warranty information and I cannot find the company that makes it, Modal, anywhere on the internet. Its supposed to have a one year warranty.

people are always asking me where i got it and where they can get one. I love it. wish there were more color options like orange for the lightning USB.

This cable progressively died over the period of time that I owned it. Bought it at the end of March, thought it was really cool at first but it's quite annoying if you want to charge at night while driving in the car. Got lots of compliments on it though. Last month the light stopped working in most of the cable, something I kind of expected from previous reviews so I wasn't necessarily bothered. Today the casing entirely cracked off of the USB end of the cabl, exposing the chip. Not okay. I expect my cables to be somewhat longer lived.

The constant twinkling of the lights in the cord are bright and annoying. Not sure what I was thinking when I made this purchase. It works well and is a nice extended length. I just hated the twinkles.

I bought this charger 2 months ago, and it no longer works! Only 2 months!! How is that possible??? My previous charger came with my iPhone 5C and that lasted for over a year. Do not buy this product.
