The reason I like my new cable is the material it is made of.

I go the red cable because my wife likes red and she's always complaining that our sons are taking her charger cable.

so far the braided cord is much stronger than a standard cord

My previous charging cable was the one given by the company with my phone. Needless to say, it broke and ao I was in need of a cable that was stronger. This braided cord is really good, and has already withstood my constant usage.

If it is pple certified, it means it can be very reliable.

I have purchased $5 chargers and they break in a week or so.

I bought the cord because I was tired of the non braided types cracking or the plastic sleeve pulling apart. So far so good with this model. It has handled being used by children with no issues as of yet. Great color options.

It was cool how it would light up. We were just disappointed that it stopped working but Best buy exchanged it for .

My daughter loves this cable. Its colorful and feels sturdier than the OEM charge cord. None of the weird messages you get when using some of the cheaper 3rd party cords. The four star rating is just because she's only had it a few months. If it makes it past the one year mark after "normal" use, it will deserve 5 stars.
