The lighting plug (the part that connects to the iPhone) as a silver sleeve, this part came off, not enough glue used during the manufacturing. I only got this from BB as it was free.

The reason I purchased this cord is simply because all my other cords from all my other devices look the same. So many times while traveling I grabbed the cords from the wrong device. I bought blue for me and red for my wife and now we always have the right cords when we travel. Also she can't take mine and say it's hers anymore lol. As far as its functionality, this cord works as expected.
