Got this for my daughter but she abandoned it after a day and sticking with her old ratty one. The power button sticks, and the pink color is the "wrong" pink for her. Only 3 stars for the sticky power button.

Case was pretty flimsy and doesnt have a built in stand. Womt purchase again

This is a good purchase. It is however has its little points that need a few improvements. The fit is good. The color is nice but can get dirty quite easily so choose carefully. It is light but can be a little lighter. The protection from bumps is adequate but I did not test it for a drop, for obvious reasons. The protection works well inside your laptop case or when you are traveling. There is a place to put your pen if you want. The cuts are perfect. The magnet works perfectly as well. The physical feel of the case is smooth. The major shortcoming is the stand. When you fold it to use as a stand, I feel that the set-up becomes a bit flimsy, the IPad never really feels that stable. There have been plenty of times when I have been typing and the IPad simply couldn’t stand with this set-up. I feel that if they make one of the folds a little more sturdy or deep or if they can just add a flap it would help in this process. Considering the price point this is a good purchase. Maybe in their next iteration the company can make the stand set-up a little more sturdy. Recommended.

Ok for the price, material quality is not that great

The case is nice but the case fall apart in the back where you fold to stand to me it wasn't glue at all so for me its a fail.

Quality was not that good for me, my daughter broke it in half after the first week of having it.

This is a nice looking case. The color is a pale and more subtle pink color - blush is a very good description of it. The case has a clear pane on the back, so that you can see the back of the iPad through it. This is a nice design touch and helps it to stand out from other cases. It comes with protective plastic film on the inside and outside of the clear pane, which should be removed before inserting the IPad. The case is protective on all sides, folds nicely into a stand, and provides storage for the Apple Pencil. There is a nice lining in the case, to provide protection against rubbing. The case is easy to fold into the stand position. This allows you to prop up the iPad. It works well and is sturdy enough for most use cases. If you do not need the pencil storage, I would look for another option. The pencil storage area works well, but provides unnecessary bulk if you don’t need it - for example gripping it will collapse it a bit. There is no problem using it as the pencil storage, though. There is a magnet in the flap, so it sleeps and wakes the device when closed and opened. This is a must have feature for me in any case that covers the screen. There is also a flap the keeps the case closed. Overall it works well, provides protection, and is stylish.

Modal™ - Folio Case for Apple iPad 10.2" (7th, 8th, 9th Gen) & Apple iPad Air 10.5" (3rd Gen) - Blush The Modal Folio Case holds the iPad snuggly with plenty of bumper protection at the corners, sides, top and bottom. The cutouts are precise and do not block the mic, camera, speakers, earphone jack or lightning connector port. The case material is grippy in the hand as well as on surfaces where you might lay it , including your lap, or where you may prop it against something on a desk or table. The folio cover when closed covers the screen completely and has a soft finish so as to not abrade the screen. It also has a magnetic fastener flap that flips around to the backside of the case where its held in place by the magnet in the flap and one embedded on the backside of the case thus securely fastening the screen cover without any real effort on your part. The folio cover has three segments (as do many of the folio covers for the iPad) so that when open you can "fold" the folio cover flat against the back of the case while using the iPad for holding in the hand or laying it on a flat surface or your lap. The segmented folio cover can also be "folded" into a tent shape which raises one side of the iPad off the surface it's on allowing a slightly raised angle for writing or sketching when you have the iPad in landscape position, or you can set the iPad up into a much more raised position while using it on a flat surface to read or view video content. The Modal Folio case has a pen slot in the case on the left side (where the folio cover "hinge" area is) when you open it. It holds the pen securely in place until you need it. The flexible cover "hinge" is the only weakness, if I may call it that. Since it's not a rigid hinge mechanism, I assume with time this connecting material may crack or split, but that's merely speculation on my part. The one thing I don't like about the cover not having a rigid hinge system is that the cover will move around some when you're holding the iPad in hand while the cover is folded back against the backside of the case. You'll find the Modal Folio Case protects your iPad very well, adds little to the overall weight of the iPad, and offers versatile positioning and safe storage for your Apple Pencil.

Poor quality, would definitely not recommend this item for purchase

A no nonsense, simple case for your expensive investment. As always with these cases, you need to make sure you have the right one for the right iPad. So make sure you are using a 10.2" iPad, check the actual model numbers and confirm. As these are FORM fitting, there is no wiggle room, for a slightly different sized cases. The first thing we noticed, was the clear see-through back. This is different, as most cases don't do this. it is a simple thing, but this allows you to see the COLOR of your iPad, if that matters to you. It also allows you to see any custom engraving you may have done as well. The magnetic closure is great, as that does trigger the iPad's built in screen/sleep functions, so that is going to keep it from getting hot under that cover, as well as not kill the battery. It has a slot for your Apple Pencil, and that still allows it to charge while in the case. Honestly, if you are not using a pencil with your modern iPad, you are missing out on a lot. And this case will help you not lose it. While I didn't drop from a great hight, we did try from a small onto a carpet. I mean, the case is designed to take some bumps and bruises, but I don't want to role the dice on it. The bumpers are larger then most, and that looks good too, and it should take some bumps. But your best defense against damage, is simply to avoid the situation So my only negative... and wish we had a 4.5 waiting option.. . was that this was a bit tougher to get in then I thought. It was really really tight. Once on, it isn't coming off easily, so that is a good thing. The last thing.. the color is a nice warm muted pink/blush. nice and soft... and the case is comfortable to cary in the hand.

I like this case. It has a nice protective bumper case with a pen holder. The cover is a smart cover like material so helps it prop up and protects the screen. For travel or falls I like that is has a little flap that keeps the cover on tight via magnets. All in well built and an affordable price. The color is just ok but I thought the blush would have been more muted and less pink. A great affordable case for your Ipad. Very fitting for the price of the Ipad. Also it works on Gen 7-9 so luckily it made it a few generations before needing to get a new case. The only worry I have is how clean the blush cover will stay since it seems like it will get dirty easy. In the end that is the only con for this product. Normally these cases make the Ipad thick and heavy but this did a nice job at balancing that out so another win to Modal. Another side note is the cover that touches the screen is micro suede so will keep it clean when opening and closing it. The only room for improvement would be to see more color options and offer a version without the pen hold just to save on size and weight but that is just a wish list.

The Modal cases seem like the kind you get on that OTHER online retailer that has everything from A to Z... But made better, perhaps the offshore OEM that makes these cases has better quality controls, or our friends at Best Buy have higher standards that they hold their suppliers to. The case material is a nice silicone surface with a clear plastic/plexi back to show off the Apple design- This pink model looks great with my wife's 10.2" Rose Gold iPad. The design is a bit dated -with ribbed grips and a shape on the back that reminds me of the old knock-off Otterbox designs from the first iPad Air and doesnt look sleek or minimalist like other designs that protect better. This screams "discount cell phone shop case" in my aesthetic opinion. If you're getting this for kids to have a good screen-covering protective case, I recommend it as it s thin and sleek enough and kids dont care what their iPad looks like... If you're getting it for an adult that cares about style? Look elsewhere for folio cases that are more Apple-esque.
