The edge/ lock sides , chips and brittles. I returned mine after few days.

Great cover but would not fit my Apple iPad air 1 !

Cover fits nicely with all the buttons, camera, and speakers very accessible. Light weight so works nicely with the light iPAD.

I too was initially planing to buy the Apple Smart Cover but noticed this and was throughly impressed. I hate using cases but from time to time I need one. So I like them to look nice and not add much bulk, well this one does both very well. If you are looking for total protection this is not the case, but if you are looking for a high quality, light, slim and good looking case then this is worth every penny. It does provide a nice compromise between going naked and having a case on your device.

I bought this and though it would be excellent. It wasn't cheap, either. Quickly did I realize, after just a couple weeks, how poorly made this case is. The pro: it looks nice and is minimal...honestly, that's it. I wanted this case to be great. I did. The cons: --After not even two weeks, it already started losing its grip - so my iPad literally started FALLING out of the case!!! I only took it out of the case once before this began happening. --No drop protection (which you would not expect) -- if you ever drop your ipad, chances are it will likely fall out completely. Ouch! That could be $800 gone because you didn't invest in a good case! I wanted this case to be good. But I was mistaken. Went with a much sturdier and more durable case, the Targus Versavu. Great looking and very durable case! Do NOT buy this case. Also, the folding design of it is a nuisance. It always wants to have this weird angle. Second reason I didn't like it.

This case works similarly to the apple product, but I have found that the plastic back and corners began to chip off after just two months. It does provide excellent protection for the screen, when covered. This case exposes the entire screen when the protective cover is off. If you face drop it, it will shatter. I would like to see some way for the screen protector/stand to attach to the back of the case when in use.

What's not to like about an good iPad 2 Air case under $15? This is the second one I've purchased in 2 years. That's a combined $30 for a tough, compact case that does the same job as the $90 iPad 2 cases. I spent the extra money on other items I wanted at Best Buy. The only issue was after a year's worth of use the tab holding one of the corners broke. STILL a very good value. I highly recommend.

This is the best iPad cover I have had. I have several other covers but got tired of them because they were to heavy or awkward to use. This cover is so light and user friendly. I love the sleep feature. I paired it with a tech21 cover on the back. They work great together.

Was not sure about buying a "non-Apple" case for an ipad, but it turned out that I really like this case... as much or more than the Apple smart case. It feels good to the touch and protects the iPad well. Very nice alternative to the Apple made cases.

This case is wonderful. Originally I sought out the Apple Smart Case, but between the price, the button coverings being hard to press, and the headphone jack cutout not allowing a great deal of headphones to access the iPad, I looked for an alternative, but there are not many to choose from in stores, so I settled for the reverible Modal case. I saw this case on the site, but it was not released yet, but I kept checking the Best Buy site. When I saw that it was listed in stores, I quickly went and swapped out casess, and am 100% happy with it. The Modal Smart Case for iPad Air 2 is perfect for what I want, and is void of all the things I dislike about Apple's case. One extra thing that is not listed on the feature list for this case, is that it does have the sleep/wake function, so when you close the case cover, it puts the iPad to sleep, and when you open/pull the cover back, it wakes the iPad. Thank you Best Buy!

I bought this late March of 2015. By the beginning of June 2015 two of the corners just flaked off. Yes FLAKED off. No pressure applied just moving my hand over it the corner fell off. Now almost end of June all 4 corners have flaked off. The case was never dropped or tossed even on a padded surface like a bed. I expect a case even if costed 30 dollars to last more then 3 months. HORRIBLE quality and I would not recommend to anyone. Spend more money and get a Incipio or even the authentic Apple cases. But save your money and dont buy this one.

Likes: Magnetic sleep/wake function. Propping up iPad Feel Dislikes: The corners on the back cover seem to break easy. I really wanted to like this case, but after having 2 of them have the corners break off relatively easy(therefore allowing the iPad to fall out of the case), I'm ready to move on to something else. We are not rough on it, it just seems the back cover is too brittle.

Nice slim case that doesn't add a lot of weight. Protects Ipad well.

I thoroughly reviewed every popular case for the Air 2 with a goal of provided adequate protection without adding a lot of bulk and weight. This case was the best on the market for all of those features and was priced competitively.

In less than a month the corners started to - disintergrate is the only way I can discribe it. Both corners, next to the fold started to crack and break off in big pieces in less than 2 weeks. Now, one of the front corners is starting to crack. I'm very careful with my iPad and can honestly say it's not because of how I treat the case. At first I was very happy with it, as it fit GREAT on my new iPad Air 2. It was a bit stiff, but softened in about a week. I don't know if mine is a unique instance, but the iPad won't stay in the case. Returning today.

This bright red cover looks awesome. The corners cracked within a couple of months which rendered it useless. I am SUPER easy on all my products. I would not purchase this again.

My first cover had the corners all break in four to six months, I returned it to Best Buy and was assured that the problem with the corners breaking had been corrected, so I exchanged it for another one. Now all the corners have broken again. I went to return it and was told I dropped it. I was told they could not do anything for me even though it was still under warranty. I was told to contact the manufacturer, and it was just courtesy to replace it the first time. This is a Best Buy company. DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF JUNK!

I bought the Modal - Smart Case for Apple iPad Air 2 - Red not even a month ago and it's falling apart. I've seen other reviews and I'm not the only one its happening to. I called into the store (#584) and was basically told too bad, you only have 15 days. Amazon would never treat their customers like this especially on faulty product that other people are also complaining about! Bye Bye Best Buy... Amazon gets my next iPad case purchase! Only buy this if you like to waste money!
