    I bought the plan to cover my phone in case something happened to it. Less than a year later i dropped the phone and broke the screen. So i visited my local BB Geek-squad, only to find out there would be a $90.00 deductible!! That's a quarter of the price of the phone! Add the $80.00 i paid for the plan, now I'm almost at half the price of the phone! What a sham, the salespeople are really good at making it sound like the plan is the best thing since sliced bread, that you've got nothing to worry about if your device fails/breaks/gets hit by lightning, run over by an M1 tank, or sinks to the bottom of the Mariana Trench, they just forget to mention that you're going to have to shell out more of your hard earned cash in order to make this costly plan work.

    You don’t wanna buy any electronics from Best Buy without getting the geek squad protection plan. It ease your mind if your drop or damage your product.

    Infuriating - I drove over 70 miles (each direction) to purchase the in store exchange options for repair and when I needed it, they refused to help. After standing in line for an hour they would not help me in the store. So I had to wait on shipping, then I had to mail back my broken phone. Wouldn't let me drop it off at the geek squad counter (I tried since the return box came without a label). I could go on and on but I have never been impressed with the service and support from Geek Squad. All I got from management was a bunch of excuses. Previous need for help was a screen protector, and the "lifetime " screen protector (over $60) started coming off after a few weeks. Another waste of money and time. Of course when I asked them to replace it, more excuses as to why they couldn't help me.

    I bought Geek squad to be on a safer side coz my boy is a diesel tech & he messed his S20 bad last & I had no warranty.

    I think everyone should insure their new phone incase an accident happens with the phone. Its also a reasonable monthly payment.
