Geek squad is good insurance to have for accidents.

I haven’t had to use this yet so I can’t speak to how useful it is, but it is scary hearing people say that they gave their laptop in and haven’t gotten it back for weeks. I asked this to the geek squad who basically said it’s dependent on the issue- which isn’t a helpful response either.

have not used the protection plan yet. hoping its as good as they make it seem to be. definitely recommend to get some form of coverage for you items tho.

The My Best Buy Total Yearly Membership is good if you make a large purchase because you get two years protection included. Beware, if you cancel your membership because your husband passed away and they would not put your name as the primary, you loose ALL the active protection plans you had on the products you purchased while on the plan. It's hard enough dealing with the death of a loved one and all the "stuff" associated with that, and not being able to reinstate the plan you had cancelled.

Not too sure about the protection plan. I used it once so far. I am going to have to use it again. The cost I think is too high for 24 months.

Ive had the computer 8 months and then got an operating system malfunction while updating and then again a week later this time it forced the update on me so I did the update restart and got blue screen of death. this is my second laptop and this is the first time this has happened to me I had my original one for 4 years before I had to retire it and 3 years before any problems arisen.

They had me wait 4 months to repair the laptop. Then junked it and gave me cash back that wasnt the original price of the product.

Not sure what this is. If it's regarding Total Tech through Best Buy, I purchased it along with my computer in September and I like the security Total Tech gives me.

I got my questions answered about what services I would need incase i have to use my warranty.

I have quickly learned that total tech is a complete waste of money and time. The laptop is not worth it. The battery life is crap.

I love the computer but after only having it for a few weeks the screen cracked and i had to return it for another one where that screwn broke a few weeks later. I brought the computer back again and just bought a new labtop. So when buying this computer just keep in mind the screen is very thin and cracks easily.

Pricey plan. Have had no problems with new laptop.
