I don't usually like to buy product insurance. You can view it two ways: either if its going to break it will break within the first two years, or it will probably not break within the first two years so not worth it. I viewed taking out the insurance as a relatively inexpensive added protection.

When I bought my laptop, even though I have built my computers for the past 35 years, I bought the protection plan because things happen you don't expect. During the initial set up the BIOS flash update corrupted the BIOS. Being able to hand over the laptop over to the Geek Squad was well worth the cost and peace of mind.

I was pleasantly surprised. I purchased an I9 alienware and it broke 3 times in a year and a half. On the last outage episode I sent it to Dell to figure out why it wouldn’t boot. They replaced all the major parts and charged me one thousand. I got it back and it broke again. I then purchased this device and have had no problems.
