    You have to pay for this because their installation service is terrible with low quality service people. Then you have to sit online to get cut off over and over again, then call back and wade and wait through endless recordings and options in order to get told you have to wait over a week to have something fixed that was messed up during the installation in the first place.

    My ice maker stopped working the last day of my warranty. When i called to file a claim, I was told I had to pay 100 dollars to even schedule a service appointment. I've been a member for years!

    Upon changing the water filter after 6 months, the water and ice cubes now taste so bad we can’t drink the water or use the ice cubes. Very strong plastic taste. Frig is 8 months old. Tried getting another replacement filter and it’s just as bad. Was told it’s an “issue with this frig”

    I hope the plan will be worth it, I did not realize after the 2 years is up, my major appliances no longer have a warranty, disappointing, I thought it is just a membership you keep renewing to maintain warranty.

    Water jug has always leaked, ice maker is an agitator so is slow to push out ice. Filters have to be replaced constantly.

    Overall the refrigerator is good but it doesn’t have led light in the bottom of the freezer, which make it hard to see during evening time. I DO NOT like it.

    Bought the fridge and the pitcher stopped working .. had a technician come in from Best Buy and he essentially told me to call Samsungs manufacturers warranty…

    Ice maker dispenses ice with foul taste and odor, Complained and LG sent a replacement filter. Which still doesn't work.

    Zero Stars. Frustrating Experience.

    We manage properties and buy appliances quite often - approximately 2-3 kitchens per year, plus random one-offs and thought the protection plan would be of value. When we tried to use the protection plan for a 1-year-old oven, we paid the $85 service fee and scheduled a visit. The problem is intermittent, but the oven beeps like a dying smoke detector at all hours of the day and night, and doesn't consistently heat properly. The part took almost a month to arrive, then the technician no-call-no-showed to our appointment. They apologized and came again after I called wondering where they were. The part didn't fix the issue, so after another visit they mailed a new part and scheduled several weeks later to install it. It was then determined that the part he ordered wouldn't fix the problem, and so no service was performed. Another diagnostic visit was scheduled, and the tech no-call-no-showed again. After coming back now over two months from our first visit, the range isn't kicking an error code out so they won't fix it. They want me to record video, then once we prove it's beeping (which is intermittent so hard to record) they'll schedule ANOTHER visit to try to dignose it again. The policy is to only replace an item after 3 repairs, and if they don't know how to fix it don't make a repair. This is now 7 seperate appointments. 20 hours on the phone speaking to different people to try to get an appoinment, and another 20 hours of time off work waiting for a technician who has an almost 1-in-3 no-show rate. We've been shuffled between different phone numbers and people who have no authority to help. We could've thrown the stove away and bought a new one with the time invested at this point. I'm disappointed in the customer service by Best Buy, who has hurt our image in the eyes of those whose property we manage due to inability to fix a now long-term issue. The warranty is more of a hassle than it's worth for big appliances, and they hope that by no-showing to appointments, they'll wear customers down so you just buy a new appliance from them, because the store isn't the service department.
