    So far the plan is ok. There’s been inconsistent handling with customer service. It’s expensive but gives me a peace of mind for my recent purchases. I like the extended return window.

    They didn't auto renew it so they dropped all my coverage without notifying me and then the dishwasher broke 7 days before the coverage would have ended had it not already been canceled. Next time I'll just put my money into a paper shredder.

    Once you stop paying the crazy annual fee, you lose all coverage. 2 year coverage never used but you membership expires next week = no coverage at all

    Again the customer service has been a mess. Here is just a selection of numbers I have had to call to try to get our new oven replaced. Claims dept: 877-308-5510; then told that is wrong and call 800-621-9970x422 for a claim. Then told call 855-229-4911 only to find out that is for employees not customers. I have been through multiple customer service calls. We bought the protection for peace of mind and still have lived without an oven for 2 months and it will now take another 3 weeks to find out if one is actually coming or not.

    I would say it is the must have plan for any purchases. Apart from the year long protection plan it took care of my hauling and installation costs as well. I am definitely going to extend this next year.

    Brittle metal or stone grate broke

    Upon 1 and a half year of use the LG gas range metal grate broke into pieces by itself. The grate on this model is brittle. Otherwise the gas range is good. Not much support from CS

    This protection extends the warranty up to 24 months, but what you are really doing is buying an additional 12 months from Best Buy. The first 12 months is the manufacture warranty which is standard at no additional cost. My wall oven was delivered not functioning and Best Buy did nothing to get this fixed or offer assistance. I got the wall oven fixed by going through Whirlpool. If you add up the cost of the extended warranty Best Buy makes bank on these plans because they are only really offering to make repairs after the first 12 months, but you pay for 2 years!

    We've replaced our dishwasher and microwave this year with the free installation provided with the Protection Plan, which has more than paid for itself.

    I just recently got the runaround trying to get service for a refrigerator a little over a year. I have this protection for all the appliances I purchased from Best Buy, but now there are supposedly costs associated with any repair, from diagnosis to actual repair. Everyone gives a different price tag for that, had to file with BBB to even get attention. They do not honor their own TOA.

    When you purchase a printer for work or personal products, you do not want to run out of toner when printing. This is our strategic back up.

    Total Tech and its Warranties are Garbage

    Apparently if you don’t keep paying yearly, they cancel all your warranties. Total tech was a failure. No other warranties were available at time of purchase. I’m not even going to fight getting my $1500 dishwasher that is broken after only 1.5 years fixed. I’ll just never buy from Best Buy again.

    Been waiting a month for delivery of microwave. Got delayed over a month with a notice that it will be delivered shortly and status updated soon. That’s been a month without a microwave. And you can’t contact anyone with good English to find out anything.

    Defective/Poor Customer Support

    My microwave was installed 4 months ago and has stopped working. Sharp support has told me it is outside the warranty as it was manufactured in November 2021. I will need to prove when I purchased it to even speak to customer service. Poor Product and Poor Support - I cannot recommend.

    Very disappointed in the poor service. A few months ago they installed a battery which I had to buy myself on Amazon because they could not get it and it doesn't work even after they installed it and assured me that it. In my computer ram started falling and I brought it in and they told me it was the fault of the chord so they sold me a new chord which is useless.
