    The jury is out on this, since I just got my appliances, but if it is anything like what I experienced with a bad appliance at install, I am not sure I can see the value at 200$ a year..

    We purchased the Best Buy Total Protection Plan for $199 total. When calling for a repair today, I was informed that we would have to pay over $200 just for a technician to enter the house ($100 for service fee and $100 for a diagnostic fee), and that is including the $24 discount we would receive for being a Best Buy Total member. When I questioned why I was paying $199 for a plan that would give me a $24 discount and still have to pay over $200 for the technician to enter the house, I was given a long explanation about how you have to pay insurance for your car and this is the same thing. Also, our appliance is still under warranty. This seems like a total scam, I feel completely duped, and I am still waiting for a supervisor to return my call to discuss the situation further.

    I’ve had bad service last 2 times at Best Buy. Now they are changing terms and it will get worse

    Not pleased coverage starts before you even receive your items. So if you buy an item later in the coverage period you don’t get a full 2 years. It’s really just good for if you plan to get a lot of installs done during that period in my opinion.

    Best Buy shattered two thermador ovens

    If I could give this zero stars I would! This is the SECOND thermador oven that Best Buy outlet has irreparably damaged before it’s even left their store. The first one the door fell off and they refunded us. The second one was supposed to be delivered yesterday and the delivery team wouldn’t even take possession of it because it was shattered. We have cabinets ordered for this specific oven combo. Best Buy’s solution? Make us pay an additional $4200! They offered $1000 off the original price when we paid $2400

    Kitchen Hood Installation

    I paid for the installation and they only left the product at the door. The installer came by, said it would be "difficult" to install, and said he would send someone else before leaving. The installer never returned nor sent anyone else, and when I called the store they claimed that I had never asked for an installation. After arguing with them, they sent the same installer again, and this time, he simply walked in, looked around again, and left without saying a single word. It's been an annoying and frustrating experience that best buy can't even send someone competent enough to do their job right.

    I honestly didn’t benefit from the protection. I forgot about it, my appliances did not need the protection fortunately.

    Best Buy has Been great to work with. The only issue is talking with someone in store. Difficult to get ahold of.

    Agents seem to have attitudes. At the end of the call they ask if there anything else they can do when they really don’t help. Never seem to have information. I hang up and call right back and get different answers to the same question. Once got an appointment for the wrong product after spending 20 min on a call. I think they were trying to get me off the phone.

    Failled Haul-Away

    Not worth it. Paid for TotalTech, ordered haul-away and Best Buy 3rd Party failed to haul away the old appliance. Still sitting in my Kitchen waiting for them to come get it. The "Delivery" team said they did not have a haul away scheduled. Contacted TotalTech to escalate, got to Regional Manager, denied my request. She said I had to wait for next available appointment for a haul away. Poor Customer Service.

    Why wouldn't you want protection for 24 more months!!! It is super!!!
