This program is an absolute scam! I was convinced and influenced to get it when I bought my laptop back in 2022 as they sold me on the fact that once my normal product warranty was expired, anything I bought at any Best Buy location would be covered as an “extended warranty” under this protection plan, and I could bring it back to the Best Buy location if it was broken or needed to be repaired/replaced they would replace it under the Best Buy protection plan! Well, coincidentally enough as luck would have it. My computer started having issues and though I brought it in during its warranty program, geek squad claim there was nothing wrong with it. I brought it in again seemingly just as the warranty expired and they told me they would have to send it out for service with 2 to 4 weeks waiting for a resolution. The computer persisted with the same problems. I then brought it back where my normal warranty was out of date, and I continued on with my Best Buy total protection., in which again geek squad told me there was nothing they can do and that they would have to send it out. I seemingly paid $50 to have it shipped out as well which I can’t even understand why considering I pay $200 a year for this total protection plan, and yet they still claim that they found no issues. Fast-forward to going on two years now I have been to the store and called customer service five different times still paying $200 a year for this Best Buy protection plan and they tell me there’s nothing they can do for me and they cannot replace my computer as that is against Best Buy‘s policy and I will have to buy a new computer. Make it make sense what am I freaking paying for?!! Unreal how the big dogs are always looking to take money from hard working blue and white collar workers!
