I have had it for 2 years now and it is worthwhile when you conisider you automatically get Apple Care for your Apple purchases as well as additional warranties for appliances and other things.

I get this on new purchases with my total tech membership. While the protection plans always seem like just an added charge on top of buying a cool piece of equipment you've been excited to buy for a while... It really just makes getting the low-cost annual total tech membership a no brainer. For me it allowed me to get my entire sound system installed in my Jeep for free (amp, six speakers, sub-woofer, antennas, cables, etc...) and any time there has been an issue with the system, with the total tech membership it gets fixed quickly and free of charge with the peace of mind that if anything major broke it would be protected with the free Best Buy Protection plan that comes with it. Not to mention that you also get the Best Buy Protection plan free on all other major purchases for free since you are a Total Tech member. Most recently I purchases a 65" SONY TV and the Best Buy Protection plan was added for free automatically.

Great device & security protection plan. I’ve been a victim of stocking & domestic violence. I would recommend everyone to get whatever phone on whatever you choose through Best Buy for protection. Don’t rely on phone carriers or Apple plan. It’s a waste of $$ & can be a safety hazard. Don’t take a change get protection from Geek Squad. Their the only ones you can really rely on. Past stable, loyal top brand manufacturers & service providers you have relied on; will NOT be there when you need them.
