Geeksquad is a Joke a purchased a Cell phone last year and they asked if I wanted the geek squad protection and I asked what it would cover, I had lost my cell phone at the lake that's why I was making the purchase, the person that was helping me asked what was the reason for replacing my phone so I told him that I had dropped it accidentally at the lake, he said that if I would have had the Best Buy protection that they would have replaced it, so I asked if he was sure about it and he checked in with a manager to double check the information he was giving me, ive had the protection going on my second year since it just renewed, will the day before yesterday I was at the lake and while taking some pictures I accidentally dropped it, so I made the report to Best Buy and they set up an appointment with geek squad and they were very unhelpful and said that that is not covered....called back to customer service and long story short I spent 3 hours on the phone and the people I spoke to since I was transferred to 7 different people trying to figure it out. they mentioned it was covered under ADH accindental damage handling, but when I went back to the counter the person there would not even check the computer for the information that the customer service rep had told me..

Delivery was pretty quick after I got the notification. Works great.

They never tell you that if your item is out of the first 12 months, that YOU'RE PAYING $9 "service fee" to Best Buy for exchanges. Biggest scam

Protection plan covers certain things - dont mistake it for a warranty purchase.
