    Not what it used to be to be a paying member. Used to be Best Buy had your back as long as you were a member. Not anymore. Now it is limited to up to 2 years.

    I have had great luck with Best Buy Protection UNTIL this purchase. This is based on this experience and not over the entire program Washer had an issue within 2 weeks. I contacted support . Explained the issue several times. She set up a repair. The INSTALLATION team shows up and checks to make sure I did not disconnect the hoses and that the washer was still plugged in. I repeat, it seems there purpose was to make sure I was not an idiot. So they get me connected with a number to arrange a replacement. It was just the generic number. After several minutes of repeating the issue I was transferred to someone else. Where I had to repeat the issue. Nobody seemed to be able to review the log files. I decided to spend an extra $250 and upgrade to a washer with an agitator. Delivery crew showed up with the same model and not the upgrade. I contacted support about the extra $250 I had spent. They never got back to me but at least the took the money off my card

    Why I canceled total Tech protection plan

    This used to be a terrific value before the plan was changed all around in 2024. Home visits for correcting problems with products purchased from Best Buy were at no cost to the consumer with this plan. It is my understanding now you just get a 20% off service charge if you need a home service appointment. As they do charge quite a bit of money this was the point that I canceled my total tech protection plan in June of 2024. I wouldn't recommend it if you are tech savvy and would not need any in home servicing. Also before the plan changed, they did haul away old appliances and set up new ones purchased from them for free. Now I think there is a charge to do that also. Very poor service skills went into the decision to change the total Tech protection plan. I suppose it all came down to making more money for the company...

    Best Buy is my Go To Source for Tech.

    I buy all my tech hardware from Best Buy and use Geek Squad exclusively because I have learned that they are trustworthy vendors. My experience with this organization is that they try very hard to provide the best service and equipment on the market in the field of retail tech.

    I think it's a rip off. Not worth the money at all they charge. Your items you purchased come with a manufacturer warranty anyway. They reduced it to certain products it covers and charges a deductible on certain items that should be included in the total protection. In my family opinion it's a total rip off ever since they changed the stipulations. If you are a consistent shopper of Best Buy you may want to seriously do your homework before getting locked in this wishy washy protection program. I cannot see myself renewing this year unless I win the gift card. I have been a loyal customer to this store for a very long time.

    I'll probably never use this service, but I guess I'm glad it's there. I get it for free because of their yearly membership thing.

    Best Buy Total Tech has been a big value to me. I have used the benefit to install a theatre room at a discounted rate. I have had purchased TV’s mounted for free. There is even a special concierge number for all your tech needs and warranty claims. I renew every year.

    They do not honor the terms of their protection plans even though they are clearly stated on contract. When calling to talk about this issue you get transferred around from department to department with each department saying i need to contact another department. The legal department, the corpprate dept, the ethics department, the computer repair department, the plans and subscriptions department the customer care department, the Geek Squad department, the Kentuckey Service center, my dedicated concierge , etc.

    This protection plan is ok. it comes with small print so just make sure you read what you are getting. Some comes with fees and once you use this warranty it ends and you have to pay for another one

    Good for a ps5 control that dont work right , but not very happy that im a platinum member spend thousands on electronics and have an issue with a high end product but my total tech says they wont exchange my product, i pay alot for that protection , but for what when bestbuy is not honoring my purchase that supposedly is covered for 2 years, im very disappointed!

    Confusion on the line. No one home!

    Not able to return your calls. Tried 7 times in 1 hour. Stayed on hold 5-7 min each time. When you transferred me to Geek Squad, it picks up but no one answers me. So I keep calling back. Finally, after 7 times, the associate can't determine why you called me, except to say that the data backup on the repair was done. I did not need to spend 45 min to know that.I got no more information than than, or any other status. What is going on????

    I like this paste for Ryzen or I 5 and 7 but it’s not so great with the 9s.

    It’s must have if you are planing to but a tv or any electronics ! 2nd year with the plan and it ready paid for it self! I got a pair of Sony headphones ($249) and they failed with 4 months , I went inside BestBuy and they handled me a brand new pair, boom!
