Have this through the total tech membership - totally worth it as long as your membership is active. pays for itself really quickly if you're looking to buy several appliances/electronics in the next couple years.

PS5 controller is solid, I have dropped it on the hardwood floor multiple times with any foreseeable damage. PS4 controllers are not as feely touchy, and this is a big upgrade in my opinion. It also updates (PS5) without taking much time and the charge seems to last longer than any previous version controller.

I compare Geek Squad to Jiffy Lube, anyone with access to Google and a decent set of tools could conceivably do themselves. But most folks don't have the time or patience to fix issues themselves. Whether I think the services cost more than they should be is irrelevant So long story short, the price is worth it if you think you are getting your money's worth.
