One of the best things of Best Buy are the protection

It has given me a piece of mind that the products I buy are largely insured and secured.

Sending a handheld gaming device in for repair was free when the 'A' button was shorted out due to baby slobber. Took 3 weeks to come back, apparently with a new motherboard. Not sure why they didn't just resolder the button switch, but ok. Seems like the replacement motherboard was a cheap ham-handed fix, because now there's all kinds of screen-tearing, freezing, audio distortion. Send it back in again, free again. 2 weeks later, I get no updates in call text or email. Login to best buy, dig around, and one little note on the repair status page says something along the lines of "unable to repair, schedule appointment to pick out replacement." Make appointment, go to store, get stuck paying just over 80 bucks as a SERVICE FEE in order to get a GIFT CARD loaded with the money spent on the original handheld purchase (not an actual exchange). Handheld I had got at the time for 750, but they no longer have those models. The closest thing they have (all same hardware & specs, just a slightly lower quality but slightly bigger screen) ate the gift card + another 120 bucks. Raw deal.

The new grips are extremely comfortable and make the handheld great for longer play sessions. Handles multitasking really well. The biggest surprise has been the speakers: sound is fantastic and clear.

Monthly protection throug the membership is extremely good

This was great to have and I have had to use it on a couple of purchases which made it pay for itself.

Definitely would recommend this coverage, covers you beyond manufacturer coverage!!
