It feels bad to be paying a large annual subscription for total tech and then be asked to pay more for each thing after just 24 months.

Best buy total tech support had me cover as long as I have an active service

Beast part is that I haven’t had to use it and will be renewing asap

Used this service for installation of a new tv and three Rokus.

I've paid $179 for My Best Buy membership for several years. I've purchased washers and dryers (2 sets), several refrigerators, a stove, numerous TVs, etc. Always happy knowing I'm covered by my extended warranty thru my membership. I never, in all my years had to use it. Until this year. I purchased a dryer in May 2023. In February 2024 it started making a very loud noise. I called, they sent a tech, it was repaired. No cost to me. Apparently it was a part that was a factory recall due to the very issue I was experiencing. Well, it started making the exact same very loud noise. It is now July 2024. So, I called again. I've had the dryer 14 months. This time, per a new policy, they won't send a tech out unless I pay $85. What?! It's under warranty. Doesn't matter. No money, no tech. So I paid the ransom. He'll be here today. It's the exact same issue and I feel I got a defective dryer. Almost $1000 down the drain. I'm already shopping around for a new dryer. Obviously not at Best Buy. I'm canceling my membership and never buying anything at BB again. My thought is that they'll "fix" the dryer and It'll be fine for a few months until it breaks again. And again. And again. $85 each time. No thank you. I'm done.
