Bought this for Christmas since my old turntable was a couple of decades old and had issues. This Sony turntable is really nice - especially the Bluetooth capability and the option of USB connectivity, which allows me to rip all my vinyl to digital files.

The protection plan is something you hope is never needed. But for the occasions I have used it, the plan has saved me more money in repair or replacement costs than the plan costs.
