I’ve been a long-time and loyal Total Tech member, and I was highly disappointed to learn about the recent changes to the program. In full transparency, I was told about the updates, but I didn’t really follow up until I made a purchase and saw the difference firsthand. Before the changes, I never considered buying electronics anywhere else because of the great perks that came with being a Total Tech member. Now, I feel like I’ll be forced to explore other options. What I valued most were the in-home installs, the priority customer service, and the more robust warranty coverage. As a business owner, those benefits mattered a lot to me. I understand the price was reduced by $20 to reflect the reduced services, and I get that from a business standpoint. Still, I wonder if a different approach could’ve worked—maybe using the 80/20 rule to grandfather in the top 20% of users like myself, while transitioning others to the new version. I used to brag to everyone about Best Buy and the Total Tech program. It was truly worth its weight in gold.

I was thinking about not having this membership anymore. Every time I go into the Best Buy to get my stuff fixed or return the money to me they give me a gift card and I cannot get a break in the store with another a laser printer. I talk to the manager and I couldn’t get a break. so I went home with no printer and a gift card that I can only use in Best Buy. That’s not fair because if I wanna buy another printer and another place, I couldn’t do it the money still there on the card gift card.

If you shop at best buy its a great subscription to have . On purchase i have saved ove $1200 in protection plan , and installation.
