Had to use this service twice in my life. In every way this is a must have for buying new tech. I had a soundbar that stopped working and they were able to get me a newer one because the older one was no longer available. The second time was for a samsung watch. The screen was acting up and samsung said there was nothing they could do after the year. best buy had it for a week and then sent me out of a new one.

Not sure what to say that hasn't been said already, but our Best Buy protection has been excellent! Getting automatic coverage immediately after purchase is key in our decision making on purchases. We've used just a few times, but when we did Best Buy came through and replaced the defective items immediately---no questions asked and no hassles.

You can’t go wrong with this service. As a technically challenged individual I rely on Best Buy to guide me.

I haven't needed to use the Best Buy Total Tech Protection Plan yet, and honestly, I hope I never have to. However, the mere assurance that it is there in case we do need it brings a sense of relief and adds a layer of security to our tech investments. In essence, the plan is like a silent guardian, ready to step in if the unexpected happens.

We live our nes LG tv and the new soundbar speakers system we attached to the tv. The surround sound is awesome !!!!

I didn’t have the protection on my last tv and I learned my lesson. My tv went out and it was cheaper to buy a new tv than to fix the old one.

The protection plan used to be fantastic—so much so that it was a major factor in where I bought my electronics. I’ve been subscribed for years, confident that if something went wrong, I’d be taken care of. Recently, my work laptop developed an issue, and Best Buy refused to honor the plan I originally purchased. Instead, I was told about a new version of the plan—one that now includes a “service fee” and far less coverage. On top of that, I’ve been without my laptop, which is vital for my job, for weeks. The plan has gone from a great value to sub-par at best. Add in the fact that you no longer earn Best Buy points unless you use their credit card, and the customer value has dropped even further. As soon as I get my laptop back, I’ll be canceling my protection plan—and I won’t be shopping at Best Buy again. This feels like a classic bait-and-switch, and while my business may not hurt Best Buy, refusing to support them is the only recourse I have.

When you are not a techie, having something like the Best Buy protection plan to back you up is a good idea, especially when the object you have purchased could potentially be injured by being dropped, exposed to water or other common household hazards -- especially if you have a pet with a penchant for chewing on your prized reports or homework.

Have to protect your tech products somehow as repairs can be costly.
