It was good movie not Oscar worthy though not highly recommended

Hardly. This is probably the worst best picture winner that I can recall. Fulfills the liberal checklist for a winner I guess. Best Supporting Actor winner Mahershala Ali did a fine job but was only in the first third of the film. Overall... No thanks... move along.

Watched it with my wife and her friend and we all hated it. Can't believe that this won the oscar for best picture. Pure political win. I can see why it made practically nothing in the theater.

It's fair to say most of us had not heard of let alone seen Moonlight before it won best picture but it was definitely a nice surprise. There isn't a whole lot I can say about this film that probably hasn't already been said but it's a keeper. i'm glad this virtually unknown film won and I'll admit there are scenes in this film which literally moved me to tears. Yes, it's that moving. Get yourself a copy if you don't already have one.

Excellent, actually the movie went in a different direction than I had anticipated. The teenage years were heart wrenching...but it all came together in the last segment.
