Avoid!

This claim is false. When it did charge through the case, the phone got REALLY hot, to the point that I was worried damage would occur. When I took the phone out of the case I didn’t have this issue, but I’m not going to go through the exercise of disassembling an Otterbox Defender every night. Save your money!

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the idea of this, and it's way easier than having to plug and unplug my phone (yes, I realize it's not that much of an effort to insert a wire - but it is nice to just pick it up and go). However, there have been plenty of times that I set it down, see it start to charge and look again in a bit to realize it's still not fully charged but no longer charging. So I have to lift it up, set it back down and see if it 'connects'. So, it's a nice idea but for some reason it doesn't always do what it's supposed to.

Didn't work that well

When I placed the phone on the charger I saw that it started charging, however, it didn't give the phone a full charge, even after 6 - 8 hours. Tried multiple times and same result, so I returned it to Best Buy for a full refund.
