Customers are delighted by the wireless charging capability and the extra protection this battery case offers for their Apple iPhone XS Max. However, many find the battery life to be disappointing and the case to be larger and heavier than expected. Some users also reported the case becoming warm during charging. The price point was also a concern for several customers.

Pros: sleek design, easy to use, you can get UP TO 2.25 charges out of it when its brand new. If you use it on a regular basis though that drops significantly.
Con: after a few months 2.25 charges turned into 1.10 charges. Pretty expensive for it to wear out that quickly. For this reason I don't recommend it.

It literally does what it’s supposed to, but seemingly, in the most inconvenient manner. It’s very heavy and large (understandable for an external battery but surprisingly so). When charging, the phone heats up quite a bit. I do like the pass through charging and the fact that it uses a USB C charger.

The case is bulky and upon charging the case to full, it wont charge the iphone 100 percent. Also it heats up more than normal cell phone on charge. wont be using day to day but if travelling, this thing will help you definitely.

This is not the mophie I was expecting.

I have been a mophie owner for many years. Each time I upgrade I would get the appropriate mophie for my new iPhone. When I upgraded to the iPhone XS Max it was no different. Mophie has always provided hours of extra charging when I have needed it, and being on my phone all day traveling I need all the juice I can get. Prior to the CS Max mophie I have been relying on a Anker power pack to keep me charged. I thought that with the new mophie I would not need to be tethered to it anymore but that is simply not the case. This mophie does wireless charging and it must be inefficient as hell because it can only charge the battery for about an hour before it’s depleted. What’s worse is that if you’re using the phone while the mophie is charging, it doesn’t increase the phones charge by much at all. Another annoying thing is it makes the phone buzz off and on as it turn on and off during the charging process. Bottom line is, the case is the same rugged material and it protects my phone well but it is not the quality of charging I was expecting of Mophie. I don’t need my lightning port free for anything, the world is wireless. Unless they fix things I won’t buy another wireless charging case from Mophie. It doesn’t help much.

Good battery case, not what I was expecting

This is a great backup battery case, however it was not what I was expecting. It is a wireless charge to the phone (not plugged like older style cases). If you plug in the case to charge, it will charge the phone but take a very long time to charge the case (as it still is sending a wireless charge to the already charging phone). I have been having to charge both devices separately. Charging the case does not take long to get full. The case add quite a bit of weight to the phone so it will be bulky in pockets. 4 out of 5 stars given, I will give it some time, but may just keep it as a backup case for trips.

Not as advertised

This product I was not as advertised, so I recently returned it. The package states up to 30+ hrs of charge. On a full charge (all four lights are lit up).
The few times I used the juice pack, it only charged my phone for about an hr. Then would cut off. My never reached a full charge and when I’d try to turn the juice pack back on it would not come on. Also while in use the juice pack would cause my phone to get really hot.
Also the juice pack is really big and bulky. For me this is unappealing when I got my phone because it’s thin. Also I do not think it provides good protection for my phone. With the added size and weight to the phone, I doubt it would withstand a drop. So now I had to be cautious for both my phone and the juice pack.
Best Buy’s 15 day return policy does not help also.
I travel frequently and by the time I got a chance to return the product I was 2-3 days over the 15 day limit. So now I am stuck with a $104 credit.
Also the purchase date below stating 9/14/2019 is incorrect. I purchased this product in August.

After having had multiple mophie devices over the years I was very optimistic for this one. Sadly it just didn’t live up to the others I’ve owned. It got super hot every time it was charging the phone and it would only get my phone to roughly 50%. Just not a great value for the cost.

I like the older ones because this one gives only 45-50% charge. I mean if you’re in a pickle and need a little extra juice till you get to a charger. This helps, I just wish it was like the older ones and gave off one full charge. Especially considering the price tag.

Only complaint is it is slow to recharge my phone. I expected it to act as a backup to my phone battery but it seems to always run in the background which make it difficult to really know how much battery I have left.

It only charges my phone around 30% more, I returned and end up getting another brand and it charges it at least 79% if my phone is dead, I must say the wireless charging it’s pretty nice my other case doesn’t have that feature lol

I’ve owned Mophie portable juice packs since iPhone 5 and until iPhone X and Max and has been extremely useful during my extensive travel. This product is very dependable when you need the extra power without caring a cable. The only downfall is it only powers up 40%. On the flipside it’s much better design, look and feel than the original Apple power pack.

This phone case makes my iPhone looks super sleek and professional. My screen looks smooth as well. The back isn’t even as bulky as I figured for a battery pack case. When you want to charge the case, it charges up quickly because of the USB-C port and the case itself charges the phone quickly. Highly recommend. Bought it on clearance though for $35ish from $80. Mophie products I highly recommend.

The General Quality as a whole is ok but the bottom still leaves an open window for one of those uhh oh moment's to crack your screen. I didn’t have the case on 5 min and slipped up and dropped my phone from 2 feet and it hit the ground and busted my screen protector. The case doesn’t hold a good charge and doesn’t fully charge an iPhone XS Max from 20% battery. Really not impressed with functionality but at least it got me home to get my charger not impressed for spending $80 !!!

I was pleasantly surprised on how sleek and not bulky this case happens to be and works great. I really like that if I am not in need of using the case for back up power I can still charge the phone independently from charging the case plus both work on wireless

This case is good it charges my phone to about 60% from almost dead but it fell about two feet from my lap to the floor and the bottom corner of the case cracked. If you drop your phone a lot maybe look for a different option but it works well. I like that you can charge the case and it will charge your phone at the same time so that's a plus.
