    Love my moto hint!

Best BT headset I've ever bought, discreet, people hear me perfectly every time in different environments. Fits perfectly in my medium sized ear. Sometimes gets slightly sore after a few hours, but simple fix is to swap ears. At first sound quality was poor, but something must have updated. After first week sound improved significantly. I love the music streaming too. I wear it while I work out and its just perfect. I was worried about the sensor on/off, but that has worked pefectly as well. The only reason I gave 4 stars rather than 5 was simply a sound quality issue. The sound is good, like maybe a 7/10. So if the next gen of hint could some how incorporate a louder deeper sound for music playback, my review would be 5 star.

The Hint is a great starting design. The Hint works as promised. It is very comfortable in the ear. I have had the Hint for a week now, I wear it over 8 hours a day. If you do moderate talking this ear piece will last all day. It is not design for music. I tried listening to music, it works but you will only get about 2 hours before having to recharge. This is a ear piece that deserves kudos. Every other ear piece I have had would start hurting after about a hour in the ear. This one you don't even realize is there sometimes. As for call quality I have had no problem. I even sometimes have to ask the other person if they are there still, because it is so clear. Motorola great product.

I love the concept of an all-in-ear device. It's very comfortable, and can be worn all day with minimal discomfort. I love that the case doubles as a portable charger. The only downside is that it just doesn't work well as a headset. The sound quality is horrible. In ear sound quality is low and tinny. The person on the other end of the call could not hear me well because the noise cancellation is just not adequate. I can't recommend this headset, but I sure am going to give the Hint 2 a try...if they make it of course.

As a User Experience and Computer Science Student, I am very pleased with this device. Pros: - Comfortable (I sometimes forget that I'm wearing it) - Not intrusive in professional environments - Connects well to Bluetooth devices / Stays connected - Long battery life - Very attractive / carry-charging case looks great too - Audio quality is good - Mic is responsive and accurate (I can use it perfectly fine with ear muffs or beanie) Cons - Small (I sometimes fear I might lose it) - Range of connection isn't as advertised (same range as any other bluetooth headset)

I would've gave this a one star if I didn't love the concept of this device. I love the low-profile earbud. I do not like the product specific features but I'm an Apple person so I'll deal with it when needed. That being said I am going to return this device after only one week of use. I don't know if it's Motorola versus Apple type of situation but my biggest beef is connectability. I literally have to hold the phone in my hand and the Bluetooth be line of sight for the best reception. If it's in my pocket reception is sketchy if I set it on the desk or a shelf above my workspace it is constantly disconnecting and reconnecting. I know it has a very small battery in that may be part of the issues right now but not worth the $150 to me right now. I will either go back to the Bose which I have had for the last two years but just wanted to try this new one because of the low profile and size. I may even try the Plantronics legend. I'll give this one another couple years or see what comes out later, definitely cutting edge as far as design and looking forward to what comes next but for now no can-do. This product may work for you and I know there are better reviews than mine but being honest I will say if you're on the phone a lot the best you will get his 2 1/2 to 3 hours use before you need to charge the battery.

Good luck finding Replacement Ear Gels

    Posted .

So, generally I don't have a problem with this device until the day I lost the last ear gel that shipped as an attachment. 45 minutes on with Motorola and they say they can't send them to you or sell you them. Further, there is no place to buy them online. So, therefore, after you inevitable lose your last ear gel, your $150 headset will be pretty much a brick. At the minimum, it will feel like walking around with a cockroach in your ear. Don't buy these until Motorola starts selling ear gels as replacement parts.

The idea is great, but frankly a bit more testing would have been better. Fits in the ear okay, mine are fairly normal, but after an hour or so it hurts, really hurts. The sound is the worst part, it is really hard to ear, even with volume up all the way and the quality is less then desired. I traded this for a Bose Headset 2 which was great when it worked, but a comparison on sound is just not even comparable. The Bose (obviously) was much better but this thing was sup bar by a lot. The battery is 3 hours, which is okay, but frankly a little on the low side. Overall it is clever in concept but another generation or so and it should hopefully be work a $150 price tag.

I bought this after my Sliver II died. I fell for all the hype surrounding the release of this headset and had high hopes. My hopes were quickly diminished. Firstly, I could never get the device to say it had more than one hour of talk time. I even let it charge for a week straight after I became frustrated trying to get it to charge and trying use it. Secondly, the audio was never loud enough although the audio reported by the people I was talking to was apparently good. It is very comfortable to wear however which is also one of its major flaws. I always felt as if I was going to loose it if it fell out and I didn't notice it. I had the Bose headset which I didn't like as well and I had the same fears with that. I personally think this will be a flop for Motorola. I really had high hopes and I was let down. I had the extended wty. on my Sliver II and I ended up returning this and getting another Sliver II using the wty. At least the Sliver II works.....

    Pleasantly Surprised

I was skeptical at first about purchasing the Moto Hint, but decided to buy it and take advantage of Best Buy's generous return policy if I didn't like it. Needless to say, I was very impressed by Motorola's new "earbud", and will not be returning it. I'm sure there are others that have the same concerns that I did: it will fall out of my ear, poor sound quality, battery life, etc. After using the Moto Hint for two weeks, I can say unequivocally that the Moto Hint has proven my concerns wrong. After buying from Best Buy, I immediately went home and paired it with my iPhone 5s. Pairing was a breeze. I put the Hint in my ear, it sensed it was in my ear and automatically turned on. Went to the bluetooth menu on my 5s, and there it was. I selected "pair" and was done. This all took about 20 seconds. No instructions needed (although they are provided). My biggest concern was that it would not stay in my ear. I've used a Plantronics Voyager Legend for the past two years, and am accustomed to it's over the ear fit. The first time I put it in my ear, it took me about a minute to get it to fit right. I placed it in my ear and rotated it slightly until I got a nice snug fit. It stays in surprisingly well. It comes with three different sized tips that you can change depending on your ear size. The call quality on the Moto Hint exceeded my expectations. I use the Hint at work to talk to clients who have no patience for a misbehaving bluetooth headset. Callers sound crisp and clear. No echoes, and no one has complained of background noise. I asked a client who I speak with regularly if she could tell any difference in sound quality and she said the call quality was great and she could hear me very clearly. Volume is adjusted through your phone. It's tough to review battery life after using it for just two weeks, but so far I'd say that batter life is as advertised. It can easily make it through an 8 hour work day where I'm on the phone for 3 hours and it's in standby mode for 5 hours. I put it in it's charging case between calls and then recharge the case daily. Overall, I'm very glad I purchased the Moto Hint. It makes my Voyager Legend seem antiquated with its big boom mic. Sound quality is very good, the battery lasts me all day, and its never fallen out of my ear. It's stylish, functional, and reliable. I'd love to get my hands on a Moto X 2014 to take advantage of Moto Voice. I will update my review if I can procure one.

I was hectic at first cause if the price. But its worth the money. Very discreet and love the fact it doesn't have a hook and still stays in your ear without falling which makes wearing hats and beanies very comfortable. Only complaint isit needs longer battery life.....

    Just plain BAD

The fit and finish of the product is great. Thats all the good I have to say. The device would charge for eight hours and still tell me that I had only 1 hr of talk time. It would lose connection constantly while in use. If I took it out of my ear it would NOT reconnect unless I placed the ear piece back into the charger and removed it before I placed it back into my ear. And the sound quality was just HORRIBLE. There is no other way to say it. The sound that I heard was bad and the people that I was talking to also said that it sounded like I was talking into a can. I would never recommend this product to anyone.

I have had a Bose Bluetooth for 7 years and Best Buy no longer sells Bose so I purchased this one. I use my bluetooth every day and it has to be comfortable and easy to hear as well as the quality the other party hears - Everyone I talked to the next few days were surprised I was on a blue tooth they all said it sounded better than the Bose - Yeah!

This headset is one of the better ones I've owned. Paired with my Galaxy Note 3 with very little effort. Volume is perfect in my ear. Nice clear sound. Other parties can hear me well. Comfortable fitting and stable in the ear. All in all a great device.

When it comes to bluetooth headsets, I'm pretty picky as I use mine a lot. My favorite feature of the Motorola Hint is its design. With a sleek and easy to use form factor, it makes taking calls a breeze. I was pleasantly surprised with call quality, as the people on the other side of the call could hear me better than my in-dash bluetooth microphone setup. Only thing that's weird about it is the charger looks like a detonator :). Ignoring that, great headset, if you're willing to overlook the price point.

I really like this headset. Its tiny, but its pretty clear. Well, until, one day, my phone rings, I was answering it by voice prompt and it was not "listening" to my command. I reached out to my ear- and whala! its not there any more! no clue where I drop it! so $149.99 +tax + geeksquad replacement warranty. gone! :( I still recommend it, just make sure you are careful with it.

    Buyer Beware

Recently bought the newest version. Tried on various devices (iPhone 6, iPhone 5, Motorola Edge, iPad, Macbook Pro), and no matter what people have difficulty hearing me, dropped bluetooth connection. Originally I attempted to exchange it on the idea this was just a faulty unit. But since their process of even sending it back is difficult. I just assume not deal with these people any further. I'm not returning it and asking for my money back.

If your looking for the latest in tech. This is a good start. If you are a heavy cell phone user not so much. It has great fit but battery life is too short. You have to carry the charger with you at ALL TIMES. See my video for more details on youtube. http://youtu.be/qpsOfgy0nh0

This bluetooth device is just awesome, it knows when you take it out of your case and ear . I have a couple devices i use this with. i use with my moto x 2014 and is def the best phone to use with because its made to work with moto voice and assist. but still will work with any other phone that has bluetooth. With most bluetooth headsets once in your ear you can niot hear very well from that ear with the moto hint you can still ear great from that ear and is also the most comfortable headset i have ever owned ...
