My brand new phone was a brick because out of the box it had no blue-tooth capabilities. And when i found out that after 6 months of Motorola knowing about it that they didn't have a fix for it. I returned it and bought an edge7.

Read tons of positive reviews so I tried it out. Just horrible. The touch screen is so thick as not to break, that the touch often times wouldn't work. Also the apps crashed and froze very frequently. Returned it within 10 days. Avoid buying this phone.

A serious phone - and an excellent product

At this writing I have this phone about 10 day, and paid an incredible $2 with a 2 year contract. It is a wonderful example of a high end smartphone, far better than what I expected from MOTO. Lenovo has really done their homework regarding this phone. A home run! The near basic Android (Marshmallow) OS is a pleasure and the device is very responsive. Voice quality is very good, even in a remote area. The shatter proof front is quite large and the display is crisp, bright, and provides great color for both static images and movies. The massive battery lasts much longer than my prior phone and provides power for the entire day. Recharging is extremely quick. A HUGE plus! Lacking a headphone jack is not a problem for me but some may find this problematic. The phone size may be a bit large for some hands and the overall finish of the device feels somewhat slick, so care must be taken when handling it. A protective cover for the phone is a must. Unlike the Galaxy 7 Note, this phone may get slightly warm under load but in no way have I found it to be hot. The deal was incredible. I could be be happier.

Yes Virginia there are other smartphones besides iPhones and Galaxies. The last three years of Motorola phones have typically been outstanding values with useful features, but they've also skimped some on specs at the same time. The new Moto Z' and Z Force don't leave anything out though. These phones are incredibly fast and have finally added top tier cameras. The Moto mods are kind of gravy. They really do change how you can use the phone, but the phones are still top notch with or without the mod idea. If you can find the mods on sales, give them a shot. Everyone will see it different but for me, the JBL mod turned my phone into a mini entertainment system. And the snap on and go power packs seem to be a must have for any business traveler. Moto continues using almost stock Android, which keeps the phone quick and responsive. The Moto actions/gestures that are added are some of he most used features in any phone I believe. Moto owners hate the thought of leaving those useful features behind. Anyway, yeah, I'm a fan boy but give the Z or Z Force a try before getting the same old APPSUNG phone. You might be a fan too. Pros Fast, fast, fast Moto actions/gestures Great camera Mods and expandable storage Cons The Force is a beefy phone, but worth it to me for the battery. And it does feel solid as well. Verizon bloatware: nuff said Not a lot of mods, yet

Hi Pride, sorry to hear about the speaker. Are you referring to the multimedia speaker or the in-call speaker? We may try to troubleshoot it first https://mobilesupport.lenovo.com/us/en/documents/MG5036. Let me know if issue will persist. -Erwin MotorolaMobility

I miss smaller phones. The phone is big and ugly. Also it's a pain to answer the phone when it's ringing. I wouldn't recommend it, honestly.

    Super phone

I bought this phone with a bit of trepidation. Some of the online reviews were so so, but it had enough features to make it intriguing. Plus I had just dropped and killed my old phone so I had to pick something. Phone turns out to be great. Love the Moto mods that allows me to snap on a back up battery and a Speak mod that allows great music and I would assume speaker phone calls (though I haven't tried it out for that yet). The notification sensor works very well, wave your hand over the unit and it instantly shows pending notifications, time and other items. It's a very fast, display is excellent. One thing I thought would trip me up is the lack of a case when the mods are put on, but there is a bumper case available for the unit that protects the exposed sides which is super. Not a lot of negatives so far. Unit is a little heavy with the battery mod attached, but I'll take the trade off for all day usage. Coming from a Nexus 6 phone, I'd like to see updates more often, but this is a concern with any phone that's not a Nexus. I thought about getting the upcoming Note 7, but the curved display just isn't for me (don't like the edge distortion and the vulnerability of the glass). Other than that, I don't see a lot of other phones that can compete. It's a winner.

    Great all-round phone

A truly good all-round phone. The battery life is excellent and has lasted me well above 36 hours after a full charge. The turbo charger is a great thing: Just plug it in for even 15 mins and you can rest assured, the phone will last for several hours. I also like the Moto gestures especially the one where chopping twice activates the flashlight (very useful!!!). Another awesome gesture is the camera activation by 2 quick twists. The fingerprint reader is very quick and responsive. I used the phone with the JBL Speaker Moto MOD: This definitely wowed my friends when we played it outside during a barbecue. The sound was crisp and clear. The battery within the Moto MOD lasted several hours. Cons: I wish they had built some gesture to take a picture with the camera in selfie-mode instead of having to touch the camera screen. Also, a dedicated video button would have been much better like in the Droid Maxx. Currently you have to hit the camera button before the menu pops-up for you to choose video.

    Z force

I have always purchased Motorola phones. So there was no question when I decided to replace my Moto X that the Moto Z Force would be my choice. The size is much larger than the Moto X, about the size of the iphone 6. The camera is great. The volume is a bit lower than I am used to but I guess that is to account for the Mod speaker attachment. The great part is that I received the Mod speaker for free. The phone's battery can last for two days, even after using google maps, searching the internet, checking out videos on Facebook, and chatting on the phone. I tried to test the limits and the claim that the battery will last for 40 hours. I must say they are correct. I also like the turbo charging option...full charge in 15 minutes.

I did months of research trying to find a new phone. I loved my old phone, Samsung Galaxy Note 3, and hated to get something new in fear of not liking it. The moto z force has surpassed my expectations. It is lightning fast, no lag whatsoever. The screen is beautiful, sound is amazing, even without the Jbl mod, which sounds great, and is so easy to use, it's awesome. Along with the speaker I received the battery mod as well, which allows wireless charging. I could go on and on about how excited I am that I made the right choice. Great job Lenovo /Motorola!

      Hi Bettybooprosa,

That's weird. The phone should charge normally as it should. Have you tried charging the phone with a different charger? Have you tried wiggling the charging cord while plugged in and see if it will charge? You may also reboot the phone if the phone freezes up. If the device was purchased beyond Best Buy's return time frame and resetting the device didn't help, you may send it to us for repair to have it fixed. The best Motorola phone I've owned. I started with the original droid and advanced through them all. Even tried the Samsung 7. The only flaw is the phones inability to charge wirelessly without the addition of an external battery mod, which I highly recommend getting. Photos are stunning and shutter speed is great. Phone is fast and responsive and my connectivity is very good. Overall I'm completely satisfied with the phone, which is an accomplishment in itself.
