Im not vastly impressed with the phone. the camera sticks out too far. phone is already falling apart. the lens fell out. the phone freezes and lags. thank goodness i paid less than 200 bucks for this thing. save your money buy a different phone. the mods are insanely expensive.

I was long overdue for an upgrade, coming off of a Samsung S4 that had served me well for years up until the end. I paid $1 for my S4 back in the day, but they go for much more now so I went with the Moto Z2 Play for much less. I really don't care about the mods (speaker, projector, etc.) it's known for, so that wasn't a draw for me. This phone is just so unresponsive. Simple things like swiping or scrolling will cause it to lock up (it just froze for 5-10 seconds while I typed that sentence). The store clerk told me that was due to my case with a screen protector, so I spent another $30 for one without one, but it didn't make a difference. Making a chopping motion with the phone in your hand should turn on the light, but it won't work so I'll do it again and again. It will finally catch up and turn the light on and off 2 or 3 times. These are just a few examples of why I'm already counting down the months until I'm eligible for an upgrade.

Good enough for average smartphone but can get slow once in a while requiring a reboot. A recent system update broke the fingerprint reader but another update fixed it some days later.
