Nice looking, good reception

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My boyfriend is a ski instructor in the French alps and it's easier to communicate with him while he is with a student than a cell phone. We have used Motorola and other brands over the last 22 years but find Motorola has better reception. We also buy the models with privacy channels. The radio slightly longer because you can stand it on the counter. I think the bottom part is unnecessary as it doesn't fit in all of our jacket chest pockets. We like the red antenna because you can see it on the snow in case the radio falls out of our jacket. The setup took much longer as it's slightly different. I would have preferred that it came with desk recharger for more convenience.

Worked Great

I wish the encryption channel were easy to set up without using the instruction manual but not a big deal….. guess I can’t be lazy :)

Good Range

Happy with purchase with a few gripes

In a real life scenario, we’re lucky to get about 50 yards away before it cuts out. The stated distance is laughable. But, my biggest gripe is the battery life. We have them on standby for about 15 hours with only a few short conversations and the batteries need recharging.

Perfect for what we needed
