Bought these because they advertise 35mile range. I knew that wouldn’t be true but I was hoping to get at least 1-3 mile range. When I tested them out in a rural mountain area I could only get around half a mile distance so I decided to return them.

Good to have at home during an emergency like a blackout during or after a storm my main issue is that i needed to buy replacement batteries after like 3 months of owning this particular unit.

I have been searching for a decent hand-held radio with a good range and low price. We recently moved to a 160-acre property and this radio had excellent range and sound quality. Granted the property is fairly flat with a few trees, but I am satisfied with the purchase. Programming it was easy as well. Another great feature is access to NOAA extreme weather information.

Very clear communication, I would have liked more over the water distance but for the money, a very good buy

radios are clear and easy to operate. Charging adapter is compact and works well. However, ear buds are HUGE! Very uncomfortable, not usable for duration of need. Should have bought just the radios ($25 cheaper)
