    the original appt had to be rescheduled and the tech who I think is a contractor gave me his direct # and told me to call him to reschedule. We've talked several times. He was supposed to be here last Saturday and never heard from him. I've probably called Best Buy 5 times and get passed around. Someone needs to call me immediately and schedule someone to come out and do this consult job ASAP.

    A liitle much for speaker installation

    I was charged $100 per speaker installation even tho it was already pre-wired. The installer didn't even want to setup my receiver for optimal sound.

    We did not have a great experience with the mounting of our television above the fireplace. However, I want to be clear that it was not geek squad that installed it. It was a company that Best Buy contracted out to do the work. To Best Buy’s credit, they immediately took action when we called them and they sent someone else the same day who was able to correct the issues.

    Second party was sent to the job.

    I'm very disappointed with Best Buy my service was not performed I'm still waiting for my wires to be put in the wall. I paid for this service. They sent 2nd party contractor. Who were able to perform this service. Best never called to check if the job was completed. I will be visiting the Greek Squad at a store location.

    This review applies to the first appointment. They were awful. Told us they couldn’t drill a hole for the cord because only one team at their store had the right saw! Second appointment I would give five stars to. They knew what they were doing and said the first team didn’t need a special saw. They were much better and I got their names so I can ask for them if I need the Geek Squad again.

    THE TECH THAT PUT IT UP WAS AS NICE AS CAN BE, BUT ITS A LITTLE OFF CENTER AND MOUNT SHOULD HAVE BEEN DOWN ABOUT A 1/2 LOWER

    Mounted correctly, wired wrong. I had to have our cable company come in and fix the wiring issue.

    1) They did not show up the first time, We were home waiting for them. 2)There are items they installed that do not work. I have tried to contact them back but they do not respond.

    Mounted the tv upside down. Took over 3 weeks to figure it out. Also fell off the wall during installation. Lucky it landed on the dog. So the tv was ok. Found it odd they had to cut a hole out of my ceilingto bring the tv in. However its nice for additional light now. They will be back in 6 weeks to replace the dog and roof.

    They where not able to install my tv. Told me that since my fireplace was not even it would take a lot of work and needed to get somebody else or pick a diferent spot in the house to install, please don`t get me wrong, your installer where very honest, still i did show a picture of my fireplace to the sales person and told me that we would have no trouble.

    The technicians talked me into not using the new mount that I had purchased so they could just use the old one. I’m very disappointed that I let them talk me into it. I wanted the new mount so I would be able to pull the tv away from the wall. They also didn’t center the tv on the wall.

    So, though they were great for a regular wall, mounting it above the fireplace was a challenge for them. A number of them came by and declined to install it. Pretty frustrating! Best buy did compensate me $100 for this inconvenience, so i felt a bit better but it was definitely frustrating!

    Mounted too low so had to be remounted

    Service was terrible. First day in our newly built home & one of the guys hit our foyer wall with his ladder causing an indent. Still waiting for a call on this from his manager for almost a month. They also mounted it too low & had to be remounted so have to touch up all the holes.

    No way to justify the charge for this

    The wall above my modular gas fireplace is drywall over properly located studs. power and video outlets were already installed and their was no significant effort added by this being "over a fireplace". Aside from the use of a small stepladder to mark and drill the mountng holes, it was not any different than any wall mounting.

In many cases mounting above a fireplace involves significant extra work or preparation, and that’s why we charge a bit more for the service.     I really don't see a reason to add this service is just a extra charge. Not happy with the installation. I could've done a better job but when you invest a lot of money on a TV you want to have it PROFESSIONAL installed, you'll think!! Not worse it.
