Moza has another racing simulator wheel with the R5 in it’s lineup. The R5 takes racing games up to a new level. The wheel and pedal bundle add to the realism of racing simulator games. Steering Base/Pedal Base The R5 base has enough weight to keep it on your desk and the c-clamps help secure it well. The amount of space involving the c-clamp helps it to support desks that have a thick top and the clamps will also support securing to a think desk top. Mounting it was simple and quick. The pedal base allowed me to adjust the pedal spacing to my preference. The cable that comes with the bundle was long enough to connect the pedals to the steering base. The connector ports for the base are on the back of it. They’re easy to access and the ports on the pedal base are on the side which are also easy to access. The only thing I would like to see changed would be with the pedal base. I would have liked for it to have had more weight to it. Steering Wheel The steering wheel is covered in leather which feels more like a performance steering wheel. It has plenty of of controls built onto it. I can access all of the controls while keeping my hands on the wheels. The layout is helpful to me for quick easy access while in game. The paddle shifters are also easy to use and are positioned to feel as they would in a real race car. To me, it felt good to use if for hours of game play. App Moza has made the Moza Pit House control software. This is where I set all of the setting for how the steering wheel and pedals feel. The software is straight forward and easy to use. Moza Pit House is also what is used to update firmware for components. Accessories/Support Moza makes many accessories for their racing wheels and pedal bases. I like that I can add a clutch, shifter, handbrake, different steering wheel, and sticker set to the R5. Moza supports many racing simulator games. I hope they continue to add to the list. As long as Moza continues to do that, I’ll be able to use this for a long time. Final Thoughts I’m happy with the R5. I like that I can add to it in the future when I want to due to the accessories that Moza makes. I also like the adjustments that I can make to the steering and pedals. Like many control devices, the manufacturer will need to stay on top of supporting new games as they come out. As long as Moza continues to do that, I’ll be able to use the R5 for a very long time. This is one of Moza’s entry level racing simulator wheels and pedals. It is more than enough for those wanting to get into racing simulator games without going overboard in price. And it has worked very well for me. If you are wanting to try out racing games, then consider the R5 as a way to step up the realism at a good price. If you are full on into it, then look into the higher level offerings from Moza. They have many.

The Moza Racing R5 sim wheel and pedal bundle is a great direct drive racing bundle and I can recommend it right away for anyone looking to either get into racing sims or for anyone looking to upgrade their setup. While the R5 is not the highest end racing sim system, it is an outstanding upgrade to older sim wheels or if you are looking for a good midway entry point into the racing sim kits. I really appreciate the fact that Moza uses easily replaceable parts for their systems while having great documentation for customizing and creating your own accessories. The cables for adding accessories are all standard RJ11 or RJ45 cables that you can buy or make yourself to replace faulty cables or to give yourself extra length where needed. Standard screws that you can get from any hardware store and outstanding documentation with measurements of the racing wheel and it's bolt patterns allows you to create and add your own accessories and customizations. The hardware is great, and while the pedals feel a bit "mushy", it makes for a great racing experience that only gets better as you add more accessories. If you ever decide to upgrade to a racing sim cockpit, Moza's documentation and standardized bolting patterns will make it easy to create a more realistic racing experience for you. I personally feel like the software, MOZA Pit House, was not all that difficult to use while providing many options for customization. I can understand how some people would have issues with the software, but for myself it wasn't an issue. Again I feel like this is a great entry point into racing sims and I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to get into or upgrade their racing sim setups.

This steering wheel bundle includes the direct drive inverter for similar racing/driving feedback while in use. The steering wheel (11 inch/~28cm) is leather wrapped to give it the realistic feeling of driving with the quick release wheel for the true racing feel. There is the included base clamp to connect the system to a desk for use. The included peddle set is easily adjusted to customize your driving style needs. All of this may be used with/out a racing stand and all components to the set are upgradable through additional kit purchases to mod your setup to you. All of the components link through the MOZA Pit House control center. The control center allows for device monitoring, full settings customization and adjustment, and saving of presets for quick loading to you racing sim environment you are stepping into. On a final note, this is designed for use with a PC and is not compatible with any video gaming systems, tested only a on gaming PC setup environment where MOZA Pit House was utilized. If you are an avid racer, enjoy truck driving, and other driving simulators this is for you.

Coming from the Thrustmaster ecosystem of racing setup, this was a welcome breath of fresh air. This Moza wheel and pedals set really feel like the perfect entry level gear for anyone looking to get into sim racing. The Moza ecosystem is also perfect for expanding into and the software to configure it all is one of the best I have used. When setting up this wheel for the first time, everything was seamless. On the PC, after downloading their software, everything was detected and functioning without problems. The wheel base mounted to my Obutto rig without a problem. The pedals were also fine, but the included fasteners were a little questionable. The screws were barely long enough to thread in. The nuts they provided did not fit the other flush mount screws provided so I had to buy some externally. Also, if you were to secure the pedals to a base plate, you have to remove the rubber pads which are glued in (sort of). Even so, after removing the pads, there is still a small gap between the pedals and my base plate that I had to shove some wood under or else it would start rocking around. All of this could have been avoided if the plastic bushings they provided were the correct length, and also maybe they should consider including longer screws so the rubber pads did not have to be removed. Other than that, if I did have to buy extra screws, there are a generous amount of mounting points on the pedals that this would not be a problem. On the first use of the wheels, one thing was immediately apparent. Since this is a direct drive system, it was completely silent! I was so used to the fans from the belt driven T300 that it was stunning being able to hear my in game sounds clearly. This is advertised as 5.5Nm of force, and in my opinion it is basically perfect. I run it at 90% and it can get tiring after a couple of hours. The feedback from the game’s perspective is sent through to the wheel and you can feel the different types of surfaces being driven on. The pedals are also nice and responsive. There is a little room for adjustment, and even expansion into the future for a clutch pedal. I like the ease of the adjustments, but it is disappointing that they did not include a full plate for the throttle pedal. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with this wheel bundle. With lots of room for easy future expansion, I can see a lot of potential for this ecosystem. There are minor gripes, but they can be easily fixed with some minor external work. I would absolutely recommend this for a starter set. The perfect force feedback, the upgradability, and the ease of setup just makes gaming with this so much more fun.

In the box is the simulator wheel, wheel base, connecting cables, pedal(s), mounting screws and Moza stickers. First Impression – The wheel quality is really heavy, sturdy and almost feels military grade. Compared to my older different brand simulator wheel, the power base is much smaller. Installation – I currently own a gaming racing sim chair and the installation was easy and painless. Everything provided transferred over to my sim chair with ease. Software/App – Beware, when you download the software, it’s a zip file that you have to open and find the executable file to open the software. Once the software is installed, it immediately takes you to update the frameware. This is HIGHLY recommended, as the wheel works better with the updated software. Simulator Wheel/Pedal Bundle – For me the setup was time consuming. (It took me about an hour to set up the specs with the racing games that I play.) I did like the force feedback the steering wheel gives, its very realistic and the features that come with the steering wheel; the programmable buttons, real race disconnect, the shifter buttons and paddles. The shifter buttons and paddles, as well as the gas and break pedal, feel like a real racing car. I also liked that the company itself, has a wide range of attachments to expand your level of control. Overall, I would recommend this product to friends and family.

Bought my teenage son this for his 13th birthday as he is getting into IRacing and also plays racing games on Roblox and Steam. He was able to handle all assembly, calibration and connection himself without assistance. Connects to Roblox racing games using a utility program to emulate XBox. He loves this R5 package and my impression is that it is a high quality product (yea.. I played a little too after he set it all up). Definitely a good purchase!

The Moza Racing R5 Racing Simulator Wheel and Pedals is such a cool upgrade to your pc racing experience. I have used a number of racing wheels over the years, and have never had one as realistic as this one. The touch, feedback, motion of the wheel all feels like your in a real car with real weight behind it like it is connected to a steering rack. The wheel itself is made of a real steering wheel material, which also features a quick release coupler as used with real racing wheels in cars. The whole steering unit does have quite a bit of heft to it, so making sure it is secured to a solid sturdy surface is going to give the best results. I mounted mine up to my desk and it worked just fine. There are 4 screws that secure the mounting clamp onto the wheel assembly that you have to install. On the back of the steering box, there are different wires that go to different things. This steering box only comes with foot pedals, but you can also plug in a shifter, a handbrake, electronic dash readout, and there are also upgrades that you can purchase on top of those listed such as a steering stalk to give you wipers, lights, turn signals, etc. There are a multitude of buttons on the steering wheel to program and use during your game. It also has a digital rpm gauge built in which is pretty neat. It also has paddle shifters which are very clicky and feel great. There is no questioning whether you shifted or not as you can definitely feel it in the paddle. All of the buttons have a solid press and movement, and the joysticks on the bottom feel weighted and operate smoothly. The foot pedal assembly has a rubber grip on the base and holds really well in carpet, and also on smooth surfaces. This kit only comes with a gas pedal and brake pedal. You can buy a clutch pedal to add in. During set up, you calibrate the pedals and they have realistic position sensors. For setup, you need to download the Moza Racing Pit House App from Moza's website. It is a very well built app and lets you fully customize every aspect of your setup from calibrations, to button mapping, to sensitivity, etc. Overall, this things screams high quality. Everything about this setup feels fantastic and realistic to real life. I would love to build a full simulator with this setup and it truly brings a whole new feel to racing games. I can't wait to get the other accessories to build up this setup. Highly recommend

I love racing games. I typically use a joystick or similar device. This is the first time I have tried a racing wheel and it absolutely the way to playback g games. First, this steering controller feels premium. It has leather and steel construction and very natural to use. It attaches firmly to the desk and the pedals are comfortable and natural feeling. The Moza Pit House software is one of the best configuration software I have used. It has multiple driving modes including formula, rally, drifting and GT. I found it easy to switch modes based on the type of racing game. The customer setup for the different controls allow you to adjust as you see fit. I am an F1 fan and mostly play F1 2025. I have played the game with a joypad and now this driving bundle. This makes the experience significantly more fun and realistic. I have used a preset mode and haven’t had the need to do any custom tweaking. For the price, this device checks all the boxes for a driving controller. I would gladly recommend this to anyone.

I've owned a couple of different racing wheels and this one has been the most "substantial" one so far. The first thing I noticed is that the entire setup is geared not just to desktops, but also those who use a gaming chassis. There's mounting points everywhere on this sturdy, metal gear. The actual steering wheel is swappable from the base and Moza has quite an ecosystem of accessories and upgrades for these gaming wheels. Everything snaps in place and provides rock-solid play with no wobbliness. How is it in-game? The best way I can describe it is "hardcore." The rumbles are intense (and adjustable); steering control is natural, comfortable and responsive; the pedals can be adjusted to your preferences - both physically by adjusting their height and for sensitivity via the software. Speaking of the software: Make sure you install the Moza Pit House software. It provides a wide array of customization of every facet of the wheel and helps configure profiles for the different games you have installed. In fact, there's so much, I actually found it a bit overwhelming. The only real disappointment I have with this gaming wheel is that my racing games don't explicitly list it as compatible. Fortunately my gaming needs are simple, so creating customized profiles works...but there's often a lot of customization needed and that level of granularity may not be for everyone.
