I ordered this coffee maker and it's great. Looks awesome and brews 12 cups of coffee really fast. I am not sure what the other reviewers problem are with this product but, I have been using this machine almost daily for the last two months. It keeps working without any problems.

This is my second time buying this coffeemaker, my first one lasted me for at least 5 years. This is a great product.

Steam everywhere, top of coffee maker too hot to touch. Clock on coffeemaker got all steamed up during brew so you couldn't read it. Pot leaked when pouring. Took over 45 minutes to brew 10 cups, 2 cups still unbrewed. Honestly I've never purchased a product so bad - any product. I was very disappointed because of the Mr. Coffee name was respected.

After the 2nd use the pot would not come off of the wormer. The "cover" over the pot opening melted down and would not allow the pot to come out. after continual use eventually 6 months latter the pot would not come out of the wormer spot. Thank gosh we bought the warranty!

Looks great straight from box. Read the instructions and ran decanter of water through as instructed. Steam covered the clock. Made small trial pot of coffee and steam again covered the clock and moisture was under glass. Clock is now not functioning.

This unit brews better than any of the previous coffee units I have had before including previous Mr. Coffee.

we make a lot of coffee here, so its value is good for the work out it gets

I have this model or something like it for years and it has always served me well

Only fault on this model is the large extremely bright LED display. Great if that's what you want but it's so big and bright it lights up my whole kitchen like a night light and I usually unplug it when not in use, then have to reprogram the clock whenever I plug it back in. Needs a dimmer or on/off switch.

Makes coffee fast...great flavor, this is my 2nd one in 5 years...

Great tasting and very hot. Brews very quickly,also like the filter that came with it . Filters out the chlorine from the tap water.

After two years, this coffeemaker puts more coffee outside of the pot than inside. The mechanism which recognizes whether or not there is a coffeepot on the maker broke within 1 year. This meant that when the coffee pot was removed, the coffeemaker would not stop pouring. For a year, I would have to wait into the coffeemaker was fully done brewing before I could drink my coffee. This was annoying. Countless messes, countless times being burned by coffee... now the coffee doesn't make it into the coffee pot at all. It just spills down the side of the pot and onto my kitchen counter. Do not buy this.

Let me start by saying I really liked the features on this coffee maker. I have purchased this same model 3 times now. The first one lasted several years with no issues. The second one lasted maybe 2 years before the warming plate coating started peeling off and the water resevoir started leaking. The 3rd one barely made it a year before it stopped working. Brewed about 1/4 way through 10 cups this morning and stopped. No heat from the warming plate either. Going to try a different brand.

Purchased unit to replaced another, but this one did not last long at all. In just months it has quit. Not sure I would purchase another by the same company.

We purchased a Mr. Coffee model FTX41 coffeemaker and have been using it for about 1-1/2 years. I has started leaking from the reservoir. It was used 2-3 times a week on average, so not highly used. Also, the water reservoir would show 12 cups of water at the line and once the coffee was completely brewed, the coffee level in the pot would show 10 cups. The coffee level isn't a big deal, but we truly hoped the coffeemaker would last longer than it has.

Can choose brew type (reg vs strong), can keep it hot, totally easy.

It's Sunday and I am again waiting to hear back from Jarden Customer Service about replacing this coffeemaker. If they replace it I will be satisfied. These machines appear similar but not identical as they decide to replace what with whatever. As it turns out the first machine I bought at Best Buy was a two year old discontinued model for which I had to provide written documentation of it being less than a year old. Easy enough by printing a page from Best Buy website. There were minor cosmetic differences but the second one actually made much better coffee. The first never made a decent pot. I figure it was the temperature despite my setting it for the strongest setting. The first one lasted six months before quitting. The second lasted about two months. Also, the timed brewing on this machine was undependable. I would set it up to brew at 5:30 AM and find that it had not started when I came downstairs. I would not replace this machine with a Mr. Coffee but for the existing warranty.

This coffee maker doesn't really brew strong OR hot coffee. I had the previous edition for about 2 years and I did brew good coffee. Most times I pour my cup from the new one, I can drink it almost instantly. And as for the strength of the brew, it's really not giving me good strong brews with Starbucks Sumatra blend. For $40, it's not bad but if you LIKE coffee, move on to something a little higher quality.

The coffee maker has great features and it I very attractive.. A few times I wiped up water thinking my husbands spilled some. One day I noticed water under the sugar bowl and decided to move everything and wipe it down. I could not believe the water under the coffee maker. I have a dish drainer with an absorbent pad next to the coffee maker an it was saturated with water. We had bought a Mr. Coffee wire filter and I thought it might be the problem but with a paper filter we had the same problem. I am disappointed and will return it. Don't buy model FTX49.
