Because of the viewing windows on each side of the Coffee Maker, It allows me to put it at at either end or even the center of my counter. I Love not being limited to only one direction or one position. When I get an Itch to re-arrange furniture, I can switch around the kitchen too! Very convenient ! I was concerned when I brought it home, if it would be one of those that drip sweat/steam from the lid. No it doesn't . I don't know how I feel about the price, but I like the machine. Thank You !

This is a brand we always had in our house and the one time we skewed away, we brought on problems, spillage and weird shaped basket, too many buttons, etc. We came back to this one and some things are just beautiful in their simplicity. Simplify your life, for consistent great taste everytime, buy this!

Is not a coffee machine of many complications, is simple and does its job ..

Sure, it does not have a timer. However, it is basic and that is what I wanted. Gives me a great cup of coffee every morning. GREAT VALUE!

This is a perfectly good coffee-maker at a perfectly good price. This is my second Mr.Coffee and it does its simple task with straightforward efficiency.

Had a 4-cup coffeemaker and was looking for a bigger, basic (no need for a clock or programable settings) coffeemaker and so far this one is working great, no complaints. I recommend it.

Uses less coffee per cup than my old coffeemaker. Wished it had an auto shut-off like my last coffee maker.

I am replacing my very old "Mr. Coffee - 12-Cup Coffeemaker" with this one. It has one button...on or off, it just does a great job of making coffee. I drink 12 cups of coffee a day. My mug holds 6 cups, and I can take as long as I want to drink those first 6 cups because...It does NOT turn itself off. If you can't remember to push the off button on an appliance that only has one button.....

We were looking for a simple coffee maker, but it had to include an automatic shutoff. The description on the Best Buy website for the unit indicated that it had this feature, but when we got it home and examined the 'official' instructions, it did not have the auto shutoff. We returned it - Best Buy does have a no-hassle returns policy, so that part was good. We had to find another brand of coffee maker to fill our need.

this is a very good product by Mr coffee maker get the job done.

Pros: Makes a good cup of coffee, to my taste. Like that it is manual and not programmable, don't need all the timers etc. Con: cord storage area to small and the cord is to short.

Heats well, good value for price paid. However if you forget to shut it off it does not turn off. Forgot and all coffee evaporated and pot was very hot.

The decanter of my older, higher end machine broke, so I bought this unit just for the decanter. It was about the same price as a decanter sold seperately!

The rating above are incorrect because your program would not allow me to make changes--all rating categories should read "fair." This is an average machine for the price, and doesn't spill, leak or spatter. The design is too wide. The "on" light is not bright enough and there is no auto turn-off. For the price, I would not recommend this machine. There are better ones out there. However, Best Buy only had 2 choices and I was in a hurry.

I like this coffee maker, even though it does not have auto shut-off, the auto shut off was the reason for buying.

I bought this 6 months ago based on price and previous good experience with Mr. Coffee. I wasn't expecting a lot from this simple machine, but it made good coffee, if I could put up with some coffee spattering onto the hot plate. After rarely making more than one pot per day, it suddenly won't brew.
