Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This thing leaks when you take the pot off the base. It leaks into the hot plate. Doesn't seem like a defect. I think it is just cheap quality. Never had a problem with my old Cuisinart.

Five months (nearly to the day) after purchase the heating element stops working. From other reviews, I am not paying shipping costs to have a $25 coffee maker fixed. Cheaper to buy another one that is not Mr. Coffee.

When I woke up, my whole counter was soaked, along with everything on it. The coffee pot water had slowly been leaking out of some part where it holds the water in the back.

Im going back to Instant Coffee.

Right Price, Poor Function

Brews coffee just fine however it fails to keep java hot. Coffee is tepid, cool if you add cream. No Automatic Shut-Off is a major flaw. Save your schekels !
