Bad product
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this coffeemaker to replace a 1 yr old Bella brand thinking that I was getting a better quality product. I was very wrong! This one only lasted four months! A brewed coffee this morning and it shut off to never turn back on. Will never buy this brand again!

Great coffee maker with large pitcher
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This coffee maker does a nice job of making a great tasting pot of coffee. It starts with an extra filter at the top of the coffee filter, so it actually filters the water before it ever hits the coffee grounds. It is removeable making it easily replaceable as well. I liked the 12 cup capacity and it makes it pretty fast. I do not have another Mr. Coffee to compare the timing with, but it is faster than my other brands. The coffee flavor and strength are comparable to much more expensive brands. The clock is a nice feature and the delay timer works as expected. The quality looks really nice with the stainless steel design. The coffee stays hot for two hours and automatically shuts off as specified. The coffee maker does not come with filters, so you will need to purchase a reusable basket or common 8-12 cup disposable flat filters. Both options are very inexpensive. I used a very fine espresso ground coffee and the coffee came out without any grounds. All in all, this is a great coffee maker that looks like a high quality machine. The final design observation is that it is very easy to fill with a large water tank. There is a moveable arm that needs to be placed over the water and coffee filter once filled. It also has a stopper to allow up to 30 seconds to grab a cup while it's brewing.

Sucks
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I keep getting emails to review but I’ve already reviewed,it sucks. It’s weak&takes out the coffee flavor for me,wish I was well enough to have returned it. I might actually throw it out&buy a different 1 that’s how much it sucks,I’m not even working right now.

Coffeemaker with Good Rapid Brew Feature
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Mr. Coffee makes good, dependable coffeemakers. I particularly like this one because of its looks—I like the stainless steel exterior that matches the appliances in our kitchen. I was skeptical of the “rapid brew” feature that was touted—the box says this coffeemaker brews 20% faster—but in actuality it really does, with no discernible difference in taste. I was thinking that the rapid brew system would affect the richness or fullness of the brewing process and the overall taste, but it really doesn’t. And who couldn’t use some extra time and a quicker cup of coffee in the morning? It also comes with the standard features one expects from a good coffeemaker these days, such as auto shut-off, programmability, and a pause feature so one can pour a cup as it’s brewing. There’s also water filtration, a window to see the water level, a filter basket, and a coffee measuring scoop. A “freshness timer” can monitor how fresh the coffee is (how long it’s been since the coffee was brewed) and there is also a feature one can use to brew a stronger cup of coffee versus a regular one. All in all, a good, solid coffeemaker with practical, useful features that makes a good cup o’ joe.

Easy setup and works well
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is very easy to setup and start brewing your first cup of coffee. The 12 cup capacity provides plenty of coffee for yourself or friends. The pot stays warm for quite a while and it is easy to clean. The quick brewing gets you a hot cup in no time. The timer to have it start automatically at a certain time is a cool feature

Good while it lasted
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good machine while it lasted. Had to replace it recently because it wasn’t working right and would spill grinds out all over the place. Before that it worked fine.

Nice coffee pot
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very nice, lightweight and inexpensive Mr Coffee coffee maker. I was surprised it didn't come with sample filters or a permanent filter, but it did come with 1 water filtration filter and a coffee scoop. It is a standard programmable coffee maker that can brew up to 12 cups at a time. Set it up for delayed brewing and it can prepare your morning coffee when you get up, or set it to brew now. I can't say for sure that it brews a pot of coffee 20% faster than their other brewers, but I can say the speed with which it brews a 12 cup pot is fairly quick. It is a nice looking appliance and compact enough to keep out on your counter.

Reduces spills but only lasted 13 months.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lasted 13 months before it checked out through daily use. Carafe can only go in one way and not pushed in from the sides which definitely helped minimize spills on the heat element. For that reason alone I give it 2 stars instead of 1. Buyer beware. Mr Coffee performance over the years has plummeted. Time to try a new brand.

Simple and Works
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Mr. Coffee 12-Cup Rapid Brew System is a value buy if you are in the market for a coffee maker. At this price-point, it is in a competitive space that is really about features. This does NOT come with a reusable filter screen so your only option out of the box is to buy paper filters. It DOES with a water filter for the coffee maker itself that is replaced every 30 days via a reminder dial. In my opinion, filtered water does make a difference with coffee taste, but I have an under cabinet water filtration system for filling my pots so the small filter isn't for my case. After a brew, the grounds are nicely filtered with a almost nothing untouched due to the spread pattern. With family, we usually get about 6 large mugs out the 12-cup pour, with a little bit left to make a small cup. Coffee comes out fast, but I cannot say I have measured any noticeable speed differences without doing a full head to head with other brands in my home. Smooth full bodied coffee is what you get here. Aesthetically, it is nice looking with an almost entirely plastic build that features stainless steel accents to fit in with any modern kitchen design. Coffee brewing buttons are laid out nicely and with settings nice and straight forward. The water reservoir features a "wide-mouth" design to avoid spills with a hinged spout to avoid splashes. The integrated bumper kicks the spout back into place when you prepare to brew for added ease of use. There are all typical set it and forget it settings like auto on/off and a clock to use.

Excellent Coffee Maker
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very happy with this coffee maker. I like the design and it's easy to use. The strong brew setting actually works. I particularly like the mid brew grab-a-cup pause to allow you to get a cup before the entire pot is done brewing. The claim of 20% faster brewing is hard to judge, but it does seem faster. The auto shut off will be a good thing for me :-) All in all, an excellent step up from the standard coffee makers.

Great tasting coffee
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Mr. Coffee has been making coffee makers for years and they certainly know what they are doing. They have included the features that every coffee maker should have plus a couple more. First off, this appliance brews quickly. I don’t know about you, but when I decide to brew a pot of coffee. I don’t want to wait long. You may wonder why I don’t use the timer to have the coffee waiting for me. If you have pets, you might know this already, but my dog figured out that when the coffee pot goes off, I’m about to get up and starts barking as soon as he hears it brewing. SO I set it up at night, but get up to push the on button. I really like that it has a freshness timer, but I usually drink it all before I have to wonder how fresh it is. The Grab-A Cup Auto Pause works about as well as any other. I defy anyone to try to get a cup without having a few drops hit the hotplate. One thing I don’t like and it seems to be a Mr. Coffee thing is the basket filters. I have always had trouble getting one filter at a time from the stack. Is it just me, I don’t know. Another thing I would have liked to see is a removable tank. I have hard water and it is nice to be able to remove the tank on occasion to clean it. Overall, minor issues aside, this coffee maker makes a great pot of coffee and has a lot of features for an inexpensive coffee maker.

Great Coffee Maker for the Cost
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What can I say other than it is a great and affordable coffee maker. It works very well and is decently quick compared to most. A full pot of coffee took about 7 minutes which is enough time to get your deodorant on and my lunch ready. This unit is very quiet compared to my last Mr. Coffee unit. I have used Mr. Coffee for over 20 years since my first apartment. Packaging was nice and everything protected very well, it held up to shipping in UPS and they throw the boxes like it is the MLB finals. The look is modern and looks great in my new toy hauler when camping. For being a simple product, it does very well and I highly recommend this coffee maker for your home or office.

Morning convenience...
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ok so the Mr Coffee name brand is synonymous with morning coffee and for folks who grew up with the commercials back in the day, the brand it holds a touch of nostalgia. I was looking forward to using the Mr Coffee as an alternative to K Cup machines that have taken over the world. The Mr Coffee 12 cup looks great and has a water filter, timer to be able to have the coffee ready when you wake up, and a really cool freshness timer that will let you know when the coffee you have in the pot is no longer good. It also has a rapid brew feature as well as a Strong Brew selector to facilitate making your coffee with a bolder coffee taste. The Mr Coffee 12 Cup is easy enough to set up and will operate with the coffee filters you already probably have hanging around the house. Now to the reason for having the coffee maker...the coffee and how does it taste? Brewing speed is great, temperature is also great, but I have issues with the strength of the coffee, even on the strongest setting the coffee is a bit weak for my liking and this is after brewing multiple times with multiple different coffees, only the strongest blends give what I would call a decent cup of coffee. I would recommend this if you want the convenience of programmability, speed etc, but if you like a bolder cup of coffee then this might not be the machine for you.

Kinda crappy!

Great Tasting Coffee Maker
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Mr. Coffee Rapid Brew seems to brew a very smooth cup of coffee. I like that the scoop tells you how many scoops for how many cups (from memory, a scoop is equal to 4 cups of coffee). It seems to work with standard coffee filters. Unexpectedly, the pot included a water filter too, but we have a water filter in our refrigerator which we used to fill the water, so it was not tested. As per it being 'rapid', it seemed faster than other Mr. Coffee pots, but on par with some other coffee machines I've used. Because it tasted so good, we are considering replacing our main pot with this one. If I had one complaint, it was that the curved in top of the coffee pot does not work well with the water dispenser on our fridge (it doesn't press against the back part which starts the water flow, meaning I might have to stick my hands in to dispense water). Eight cups of water seemed to brew 7 cups of coffee, but i guess some evaporation is to be expected.

Rapid coffee for a coffee person
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to use and set up. Filters are a added bonus for the water. No issues programming and setting up. Used as many features as possible to u set that they are making things easy-to-use and understanding without needing a PhD to get it going. Must say fast brewing is awesome.
