However, please look at ALL of the reviews. This is the WORST PRODUCT for making coffee!! It leaks. The coffee brewed is cold!! Purchase at your own RISK.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend defected coffee maker

The plastic arm doesn't keep the removable filter basket down so that coffee can pour into the glass decanter. So when the glass decanter is on the warming plate, the filter basket bounces upward with the spring & doesn't stay weighed down. In addition, the digital display doesn't light up - our previous Mr Coffee did when the coffee maker was on. Lastly, there was no instruction manual included in the box - so there was the added inconvenience of having to google for the correct instruction booklet for troubleshooting. We are loyal Mr Coffee users but this model was a big disappointment :(
