Mr. Coffee is as old as time, they make solid drip coffee makers with no frills. I'm planning to use this coffee maker in the office if/when we ever return after Covid because this makes better coffee than cup makers like K-cup. And, the coffee tastes great is super hot like your typical drip coffee maker! Main Pros for this unit: 1) Its stainless steel instead of plastic 2) Makes 12 cups 3) Takes your preferred grinds and is much cheaper per batch. 4) has a clock and start timers But of course the best option that has filtered down from higher end units is the addition of the auto-stop grab a cup feature where you can grab a cup and the unit will stop dripping momentarily. Game-changer and now on this very affordable and reliable Mr. Coffee Unit. Definitely recommend for the office, camper, trailer where you want coffee but don't want to spend a lot or worry about it getting damaged or stolen or bringing speciality coffee cups!!!

4 years ago I switched to Keurig and never looked back, but as I walk through the coffee isles of the grocery store, the idea of fresh ground beans instead of pods has always triggered a bit of regret at that choice. Mr. Coffee to the rescue! My girlfriend can barely move in the morning before her first cup of Joe and fumbling through k-pods has always been a first world problem for her. With the brew later feature she's smiling a lot faster now that the coffee is ready to go in the morning before she even makes it to the kitchen. On my end I love being able to go back to fresh grinds again.

Mr. Coffee is a great brand and the brand I had for my first coffee maker . It works excellent and makes great coffee. it's easy to use and clean too

I have found Mr Coffee coffemakers to be well built and reliable. This one did not disappoint me. I am especially pleased that the 12 cup carafe has been standard for many generations of the Mr Coffee line so that when an old coffee maker gives out, the carafe can be salvaged for use in the new coffee maker.

I love this coffee pot. I purchased 3 of them. One for my NY home. one for my Fl home and the 3rd one for my niece who used mine and wanted one. I like the compactness and the size of it, the stainless steel, and most of all, it makes good coffee!!!

There's not much more to say about this coffee maker than that headline. It's a classic 12 cup coffee maker, very well-made, with a few modern features, but at its core it's just a simple reliable coffee maker. Things I like. See through reservoir for easy filling Brush metal finish looks nice Programmable clock so I can fill the night before and have my coffee waiting for me Replaceable water filter Nothing in this package is groundbreaking, but then again drip coffee making hasn't really changed either. If you're looking for a reliable good-looking coffee maker, this is it.

It was easy to use and, even though I don't drink coffee, I like the fact that it makes over 6 cups at once.

This coffee maker is average in the sense that it does not have a lot of features and makes an average cup of coffee. The great part about it is that it does not make a lot of noise and the coffee does not taste watered down. The coffee is good enough for me and my family to the point where they do not need to supplement their habits with purchasing some from a coffee shop. It also does not take up too much counter space. Another good feature is that it is programmable and you can time it so that you have a fresh cup of coffee in the morning or whenever you need it.

Mr. Coffee 12-Cup Programmable Coffee Maker with Strong Brew Selector, Stainless Steel - Stainless Steel This is really just a coffee maker with 1 extra trick, bold. The coffee maker has hard plastic feet. The 2 front ones have a rubber insert in them, but it sets flat with the hard plastic so they might as well not be there. This makes it hard to get the carafe in and out of the machine, it slides around on the counter, you have to hold it down to use it. Water is added by a separate smaller door on the back of the machine. This caused me to mis the opening and spill water. No big deal, just add the water while the top is open, problem solved. The clock has NO backlight. If you don’t have lights on you cant see it. I start my coffee in the morning while no one else is awake, so a lighted clock/panel is needed. The clock only displays 1 thing at a time. You get time, 2 hour count up till end of heat, or delayed brew time. At normal brew it takes 10:30 for 12 cups with and ending temp of 179.1°F. On bold brew it takes 13:15 for 12 cups with and ending temp of 181.4°F. The coffee ground basket just sets in place, it is not held in place by anything. I questioned this as to how it would get coffee out of the basket with it not held down to open the stop valve, but it works, so just don’t worry about it. Mr. Coffee has added a pre filter that you can either use or not. It changes nothing about how the machine works. It does add cost, a single replacement is $6.92, and a 12 pack is $10.95. Since they last a month just buy the 12 pack and your good for a year. This extra filter is for removing the chlorine taste from your water. If you don’t have that issue then you wont need the filter. For the cost of this unit I would have expected more of Mr. Coffee. You might want to keep looking if you need a truly user friendly coffee maker. On the other hand it does it’s job and makes coffee. If your coffee maker just broke and your standing in the store looking and this is all they have, you might as well get it. The price point is low enough that you’ll be able to get past the obvious flaws in it’s design. 3 things would have made this a really good deal. 1, a light on the display. 2, real rubber feet so it doesn’t slide around on the counter. 3, a better design on the carafe/heater so you don’t have to try 3 times to get it in place.

You can’t go wrong with this coffee maker. Since I just recently got it I can’t comment on the durability but I’m sure as long as it works then it should be ok. It’s nice looking though.

Is it a good coffee maker? As far as home coffee maker's go it gets the job done, but like any coffee maker you have learn it to be able to get the flavor profile you like and in this case the correct amount too. As a HEADS UP, the water reservoir and the carafe volume indicators are not the same. I have consistently found that it 6 on the reservoir yields 7 in the carafe. I first noticed this when doing the initial unboxing and running the recommended clean/brew cycle for first use (FYI run it twice to really get rid of the plastic smell). Filling to the MAX-12 line won't make the carafe overflow, but it does fill it above the Carafe 12 line. Also in the reservoir the MAX line is really close to the overflow ports in the reservoir, so just fill the reservoir between the 10 and 12 and you will be good to go for a full pot of coffee. ie. deduct 1 from reservoir mark to yield carafe equivalent. I have an older Mr. Coffee maker and the discrepancy is in the carafe size on the newer one. On the old one I can fill the carafe to 12 and then pour it into the new one and it goes above the 12 line. Take that same water in the new one above the 12 line and pour into the reservoir and it goes to the MAX fill line. The new carafe is more squat than the older, so I guess something just didn't get calibrated correctly when they designed it. Either way, it is still fully functional. I do like the Brew strength option. I would be curious to know how it makes it stronger, (I'm guessing more heat or a longer brew process), as the input/output levels are consistent from the brew process. ie. water in = coffee out. It also has the added water filter that rests on top of the coffee filter basket. I tested it with and without and it does seem to work. I use filtered water normally and tried it with just tap and the Mr. Coffee water filter and produced the same flavor profile I am used it. Or my filtered water just deceives me! The Mr. Coffee filter is just an active carbon layer in some sort of mesh with a plastic ring. So if it works for you great; just not necessary for me. Happy coffee making, first time you will consistently get more out of it then what you put in it! At least you can tell yourself that...

This is a very nice coffee maker. It replaces my old coffee machine. The stainless steel design is very nice. I love Being able to program the coffee maker. Saves time in the morning. Very pleased with this product.
